Tuesday was a good day for Deer Creek, no? It started out with senior basketball player Michael Aduddell signing with Southwestern College in Kansas, and it ended with a HUGE 70-67 win against Western Heights.
Aduddell has been a vital cog for the Antlers and has been a key contributor off the bench this season. Congrats on the signing.
I’m headed to Super Saturday for the Suburban Conference, and I’m not sure what to expect. Just when I’m ready to count out Matt Bailey’s team, they go and do something like this.
And just when I’m ready to elevate Western Heights (who won at Guthrie a couple of weeks ago), a game like Tuesday happens.
Senior Hayden Wagner came up huge for the Antlers with 23 points. Included in that were five 3-pointers.
The Jets hold a 2-1 edge on the Antlers, but all three have been fun games. Western Heights came back in the fourth quarter in the first meeting at the Ford Center.
Then you all remember D.J. Taylor’s 3 with 1 second left to win at the Bruce Gray Invitational. And now Deer Creek gets the comeback win. Fun stuff, as always, from the Suburban Conference.
