GIRLS Again, the pride of the girls verticle is . CY finished second in the region and was tied for 4th at state in her best event. She appears driven to do better in '04. BOYS All-region high jumper Eric Perez was a contender going into state last year. LaDarius Howard also fared well, especially early in the season. Sam Ledford, Burns & Huss have the ability if needed. Athletic sophomores Micah Kuiper, Matt Kredit and Aaron Skiles both have the size, strength and atletic ability to add depth to this young group. The team also looks forward to help from the basketball team. A transfer from Shadow Mountain will give the Cougars an added punch and an instant contender in the pole vault. He could be the seed to plant Cougar contenders in that event, the key weakness last year.

Practice Site Glendale Thunderbird Paseo Park. 59th avenue, south of Thunderbird. Meeting at the parks south entranceway. The team trains at the canal park located on the southwest corner of 59th ave & Thunderbird on Monday's & Wednesday's at 6pm. Teams The FSL West is made up of teams & cheerleaders from Phoenix, Anthem, Glendale, El Mirage, and Peoria. Games "Home" games are played in the Phoenix Christian High School Gymnasium, so gymshoes and shorts are in order. Uniforms are provided by the league & must be returned at the end of the season. Signups for the 2002 Indoor Football League season starts 17 August & lasts until 14 September. Regular Season play begins 7 September. Games are played at Phoenix Valley Chrisitan High School (18th avenue, south of Indian School 11am-1pm). Call Coach mo for details (480)217-0175.
