Both the Best Buds and Standing Buffalo Dakotas swept their semi final series 2-0 with wins on Thursday night.

In the early game starting pitcher Drew Wilde and the Earl Grey Rockets kept things close as the Dakotas held a slim 1-0 advantage after 4 innings of play.  But Standing Buffalo would then explode for 7 runs in the 5th inning to put the game out of reach.  Dakotas starting pitcher Dwayne Redman Jr. was dominant striking out 9 while giving up 2 hits in his 5 innings of work.  Ernie Goodwill Jr. would homer for the Dakotas in the win.

The late game saw the Piapot Wolfpack jump out to an early 2-0 lead.  That lead would hold until the top of the 4th inning when the Best Buds would get to Wolfpack starting pitcher Vance Thompson for 2 runs to tie things up 2-2. The Best Buds would then score 4 more in the 5th to take a lead they would never relinquish. Best Buds starter Tony Cappo pitched 5 innings for the win.  Landon Amyotte and Shayse Cappo went deep for the Best Buds in the win.

Standing Buffalo Dakotas will now face the Best Buds in the Division 2 final.

The NB Petro Hawks and Bulyea Rustlers advanced to the Division 1 final on Wednesday night with game 3 victories.

The Hawks were in control of their game from the beginning and would cruise to the 11-4 victory over the Chetty's Pretty Boys.  Les George was the winning pitcher while Justice Keshane took the loss.  JJ Poitras (2) and Ron Cote went deep for the Hawks while Arlen Yuzicappi and BL Sparvier homered for the Pretty Boys in a losing cause.

In the late game the Moose Jaw Canadians would jump out to the early lead off of Rustlers starter Justin Sievert scoring 3 in the first inning on the strength of a 2 run single from Dane Roy.  The Rustlers would make it a 3-1 game on a solo HR from Josh Jordan, but the Canadians would tack on 2 more runs in the 3rd to extend their lead to 5-1.  With the score 6-2 going into the bottom of the 5th the Rustlers would rally with a 4 run inning to tie things at 6-6.  The big blast in that inning was a 2 run HR off the bat of Cory Krahenbil.  The Rustlers would then score what would be the winning run in the bottom of the 6th on a 2B from Troy Gordon who then advanced to 3rd on a passed ball and would later score on a sacrifice fly from Peter Hill.  Winning pitcher Colin McLeod threw 4 innings of relief giving up 1 run on 3 hits.  Losing pitcher Dean Holoien threw 6 innings and struck out 15.

The Moose Jaw Canadians defeated Silver Screen Sportswear 7-1 on Tuesday night in the deciding game 3 of their quarter final series.  Dean Holoien tossed a complete game 2 hitter with 17 k's in the victory.  Al Muhle took the loss for Silver Screen.
