2017 Fall Villagers- It's A Wrap!!

Posted by Jen Klepesch at Nov 16, 2017 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Another Fall ball season has come to a close!

With three 8U teams, three 10U teams, four 12U teams and one 14U team, there were many highlights! Our girls won tournaments, won their league championship games, played their hearts out and worked hard to develop their skills as ball players and teammates.

Thank you to all of our volunteer coaches who spent countless hours writing emails, running practices, deliberating over line ups, sweating out every inning and pushing our girls to leave it all on the field.

The future looks bright for MSO Softball!  Stay tuned for more information regarding winter workouts and tryouts for the 2018 Summer Villager teams.

MSO softball will be offering two optional clinics for Fall Villagers players.  Please see below for more information.

Fall Villagers Pitching Program

  • All sessions will be held outdoors, on a field in Maplewood led by local pitching coach Jen Bell (bio below).
  • Please note bad weather will cancel sessions.
  • All pitchers are to supply their own catcher (i.e., parent, sibling, whoever who can reliably catch and return the ball to pitchers).
  • Fees include all 6 sessions, no pro rata pricing available.
  • Please complete this form and make checks payable to Maplewood Recreation. Individual, private sessions are also available.

Jen Bell:  Jen brings over 20 years of playing experience, starting her pitching career at 10U and pitching for Fair Lawn High School earning first team all-league and all-county honors. Jen has been coaching high school softball for over 10 years, including varsity assistant coach at Fair Lawn, and providing individual and small group pitching instruction to girls of all ages and levels for the past 5 years. Jen currently is the pitching coach of several current Villagers pitchers and we look forward to more pitchers developing under her guidance.
