RETURNING TEAMS;

1. Team Roster required before December 15th 2008.
2. Team Registrations required before December 15th 2008 - players can register online (there is an indicator box for returning team) OR players can fill out registration form which is available on the website and turn in WITH PAYMENT prior to the December 15th date.
3. All forms are also available online.
    

NEW COACHES;

All new coaches are required to fill out the following coaches application.  All Spring season teams must have a sponsor. (please see link below)

2010 PVGSL Spring Registration 

All Divisions are currently full - please send an email to pvgsl.registration @yahoo.com to be added to the waiting list.  

 

 The Spring 2010 league will include the following

• Opening day Ceremonies at PV High School
• Team Pictures
• Double elimination tournament at the end of the season
• Occasional Friday night game at local High School Varsity field with announcer and scoreboard
• All-star Games Pitching Clinics PVGSL night at ASU Softball Game
• PVGSL night at Arizona Diamondbacks game  

There will be NO mail in registrations as all regestrations will be done on line this season. 

Important Registration Dates

• November 15-December 18, 2009--Single, returning player registrations will be accepted at a discount price of $109. After December 18, it is open to everyone and you risk not being on the same team.    

• December 19- January 22 -Open registration for anyone who wants to play.  The fee will be $119.   This means it is first come first serve, whether you played on someones team last fall or not.  As we get the open registrations in, we will place them on teams.

• Late Registration AFTER January 22 -  Fee will be $129 for late registration but only if there is room available.

Spring - 2010 Age Divisions - This is based on the age of your child as of 1-1-10

• 6-8U -  Players born in 2003, 2002, 2001 ( May play up)  
• 10U -   Players born in 2001, 2000, 1999 ( May play up)
• 12U -   Players born in 1999, 1998, 1997 ( May play up)
• 14U -   Players born in 1997, 1996, 1995   

***  Bold above indicates player born in that year may play up in the next division if they want to, but is not mandatory. Please remember that PVGSL goes by how old your child is on 1-1-10. If your daughter turns 9 on 1-2-10, she is still eligible to play 8U in the spring but may play 10u if she wants.  

Frequently asked questions......

Q -Why can't I mail my registration in like in past seasons?

A - PVGSL has slowly been moving to an automated registration system for some time now.  Most other leagues have been doing this for several seasons now and it makes registration move smoothly with less errors.

Q - My daughter turned 11 on 1-2-10, is she still eliglble to play 10U?

A - Yes! It is based on age as of 1-1-10. They can are eligible to play in 10U or 12U.

Q - When does the season being and end?

A - Spring 2010 Practice begins February 1, 2010.  Games wil begin in March and continue through until May 6th, 2010.

Q - What days and times are the games and practices held?

A - Games and practices are held twice a week  Monday -Thursday nights. Each week is different based on the schedule that your team gets assigned to. One week you could play Monday and Wednesday and the next week you could play Tuesday and Thursday. Game times would be 6:00 pm for the younger divisions and 7:30 pm for the older divisions.

Q - Where are the games and practices held?

A - PVGSL utilizes several fields for games and practices:  Roadrunner Park, Sereno Park and Desert Shadows Middle School.  Please see the Locations tab on this website for addresses and map.         

Q - My daughter played in the fall doesn't want to be on the same team in the spring, can she be on a different team?

A- Yes!  There are many reasons that come up for someone not to be on the same team as last season. Please indicate when you register in the additional comment section that you do NOT want to be on a certain team and we will do our best to put your daughter on a different team.   

Q - I signed my daughter up for the spring in November but now it is Januaary and she does not want play in the spring, can I get a refund?

A - Yes!  There is a $20 fee on all refunds before January 7th. After January 7 there will be NO refunds.
