Entries - Track Meet - March 3rd at Alhambra High School

Hello,

Next track meet will be on Saturday, March 3rd at Alhambra High School, 3839 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85019 at 8am. ALL athletes should be there by 7am and sit in the first section closest to the finish line..... 13/14 parents will be scheduled to work the clerking table.  Please show up for your slot or arrange for someone else to do.  We should not have to call the next set of workers over the loud speaker.

Please check the Entry Sheets for accuracy.  There are some athletes in different events so please tell your child to go to those specialties on Monday.  The coaches watch for them as well but we may miss someone.  We are trying to get ready for Phoenix Invitationals... the only point scoring meet of the year so we need to spread the kids around.  Thanks for being a team player.
 
Entries are due to be turned in on Tuesday so please address concerns now. IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE RUNNING IN THIS MEET, PLEASE LET ME KNOW NO LATER THAN MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2018.

If you have not picked up a uniform, please make sure you get one.  PLEASE WEAR YOUR NEW UNIFORM ONLY and your T-Shirt.  Everyone should be in red and black, including your undergarments if they are showing.  
 
If your child is not listed and will be competing in track meets, please send their name, parents name and date of birth to azcheetahs@yahoo.com.  Those doing training only should not be listed.

NO PRACTICE TOMORROW..... MONDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH
 
Results are posted - Go online to - Meet Results and see how your child did.  I continue to be amazed at how great they are doing.  Lots of PRs and a few meet records... 8U Girls got the record in the 4x3; 9/10 Girls got the record in the 4x3; 11/12 Girls got the record in the 4x3; 8U Boys A and B teams got the record in the 4x3; and Ari'eon and Eldaah got records in the 200. Parents please remember to be patient and give them time to develop and grow.

Clerking Table - Thank you to the parents who showed up for their shift and worked the clerking table and the concession stands... Your help and support is mucho appreciated.  We definitely have the best parents ever.   Parents please show up and work your shift and if you cannot work, please assign someone to take your spot.   

 

FEES

Everyone should be paid in FULL.  If you are not please send me an email ASAP to advise when payment will be made.  I will be sending invoices this week so please make your payments.  As always, you can make a donation to help out another athlete.

Please continue to sit together and get to know your Cheetahs Family. Time to get ready for PIs.  No scheduling conflicts so we expect full attendance from California.  With that said please be at practice so we get everything we need to bring home all the trophies.

Heads Up on Pledges

Annual Jog-A-Thon?Saturday, March 10, 2018 
8am - 12pm  

Heads up.... Each athlete will be given a Pledge Form with their name on it at practice for the Jog-a-thon.

Start getting your sponsorships...... It's super easy. Just ask coworker, family and friends to sponsor your child via email, text, Facebook post, etc. 
?INSTRUCTIONS
?
• Each athlete has a $100 minimum commitment: 10 sponsors at .50 a lap or 5 sponsors at $1 a lap. You can mix and match, get flat rate donations and even raise more. There will be a prize per age group for the most raised.
?
• Each individual is responsible for completing 20 laps walking or running. 

• All sponsorships sheets must be turned in with monies by Thursday, March 1, 2018. 

• You can raise as much as you like as there is no maximum. Then come out on March 10, 2018 and have fun. There will be music and food. Please note that Chandler High School's Track Team will be doing their own Jog-a-Thon at the same time.

Entries have been submitted for the track meet to be held on Saturday, February 10th at Youngkers High School, 3000 S Apache Rd, Buckeye, AZ 85326 at 8am. ALL athletes should be there by 7am and sit in the first section closest to the finish line.  9/10 have been scheduled for clerking...
