A Note from the President:
McDowell will have a final “tryout” for the kids who were unable to make the first 2 nights.
It will be held on this Wednesday, April 18th, at 8:00 pm at Mercyhurst Ice center.
We would like to invite the kids who were unable to make the first 2 at this time. In addition , we invite 6th thru 8th graders who would like to have an additional skate….. we will also reach out to a few “older” kids to have a few otheres on the ice to skate with the few who were not here…for the 9th thru 12th graders this will be invite only! For the 6th thru 8th graders who were at the first 2 skates…this is not a mandatory tyout for you…coming or not coming to the skate this Wednesday will not affect your position on the team. We simply need some kids there to compare the other kids to…
Chas Auen has requested that everyone please bring the registration form (it is located in the documents section on the website, you must be logged in to see it) filled out and ready to turn in at tryouts. This will greatly reduce the paperwork that needs to be filled out and ensures we have all current information.

Dan has been named one of the 2012 Badger Bob Johnson Award by the PIHL. Given annually to the PIHL players who embody the spirit of the optimistic catch phrase “It’s a Great Day for Hockey,” the Badger Bob Johnson Award represents the highest acclamation that high school hockey players in this region can garner.
Only the most outstanding individuals in the categories of leadership, character, and positive attitude as a member of their team and community are considered for this prestigious distinction.
The award was created in honor of legendary Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Bob Johnson, who led the team to its first Stanley Cup Championship in 1991.
The tryout dates are Sat 3/31 and Sun 4/1. Players going into 6th 7th and 8th grade will go from 6:00PM-7:00PM. Players going into 9th and 10th grade will go from 7:15PM-8:15PM and players going into 11th and 12th grade will go from 8:30-9:30PM.

The annual board elections were held during the general membership meeting on 2-22. The club would like to thank Alan Hilling for coordinating the process and all those who participated.
