The Santa Cruz Royals get late runs to finish off the Indians, 10-4

The Santa Cruz Royals scored three runs in the eighth to cap a 10-4 win over the Indians on Sunday.

The Santa Cruz Royals scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Pascual Del Real, an RBI single by Justin Baker, and an RBI single by Matt Fraser.

Del Real was hot from the plate for the Santa Cruz Royals. Del Real went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs.

John Pardo was a workhorse on the bump for the Santa Cruz Royals. Pardo allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings of work.

The Santa Cruz Royals stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring one run on an RBI single by Matt Fraser.

The Santa Cruz Royals scored one run in the third inning, and then followed it up with one more in the seventh. In the third, the Santa Cruz Royals scored on an RBI single by Marco Del Real, plating Matt Frandsen.

The Santa Cruz Royals pushed across two runs in both the fifth inning and the sixth. In the fifth, the Santa Cruz Royals scored on an error, scoring Drew Sarratore.

The Santa Cruz Royals tacked on another two runs in the sixth. Matt Fraser singled, plating Del Real to start the inning. That was followed up by Christopher Cooper's single, scoring Matt Fraser.

The Santa Cruz Royals can't capture shootout, lose 10-8 to the Tigers


The Tigers were sparked by Advicula and Peltz, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs.

The top of the first saw the Tigers take an early lead, 2-0. A single by Peltz, scoring Advicula started the inning off. The scoreboard lit up again for the Tigers when Constantino scored on an error.

The Tigers matched their three-run second inning with three more in the eighth. In the second, the Tigers scored on a two-run double by Advicula, plating Brown and Melendez.

The Santa Cruz Royals quickly matched the Tigers' strong inning with a four-run inning of their own in the second. The Santa Cruz Royals scored on an RBI single by Brian Mangan and a three-run triple by Brian Brouse.

Pascual Del Real leads the Santa Cruz Royals to 12-5 victory

Pascual Del Real was strong at the plate and on the rubber in carrying the Santa Cruz Royals to a 12-5 victory over the Tigers on Sunday at Aptos High School.

Del Real reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

The Tigers couldn't get anything going so long as Del Real was on the hill. Del Real held the Tigers hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

The Santa Cruz Royals' bats came to life in the fifth inning. In the inning the Santa Cruz Royals scored seven runs. The Santa Cruz Royals scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Chris Highlander, a two-run home run by Chris Rains, an RBI single by Justin Baker, an RBI single by Brian Mangan, a sacrifice fly by Christopher Cooper, and an RBI single by Craig Doleshel.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with six lead changes.

The Santa Cruz Royals fend off A's late push, hold on 5-3

A's was never able to get over the hump and overcome its troubles against the Santa Cruz Royals on Sunday, as A's fell 5-3 at Gavilan after falling behind by four runs in the third inning.

A's scored on an RBI double by #3 and a steal of home by #3 in the fifth inning and an RBI single by #7 in the eighth inning. Still, A's couldn't catch the Santa Cruz Royals.

Justin Baker had two extra-base hits for the Santa Cruz Royals. He doubled in the third inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

John Pardo recorded the win for the Santa Cruz Royals. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked none.

The Santa Cruz Royals were sparked by Chris Highlander and Baker, who teamed up for six hits and two RBIs.

Santa Cruz Royals closer Pascual Del Real put away the final three outs to record the save.

The Santa Cruz Royals went up for good in the first, scoring two runs on an RBI triple by Chris Rains.

The Santa Cruz Royals pushed one run across in each of the second, third and eighth. In the second, the Santa Cruz Royals scored on a groundout by Doug Fearnside, bringing home Matt Frandsen.

Royals 15 Brewers 1 / Game 2 Recap 6/7

Big staff effort as 2 the Santa Cruz Royalspitchers team up for no-hitter in win over theBrewers

Two pitchers joined forces to throw a no-hitter for the Santa Cruz Royals in a 15-1 victory in five innings over the Brewers on Sunday at Aptos High. 

Craig Doleshel and Pascual Del Real rounded out their sterling stat line with three strikeouts and two walks.

The Brewers' lineup had no answer for Doleshel. Doleshel held the Brewers hitless over four innings, allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two. During that time Craig had 7 one pitch outs! He was constantly ahead of hitters to get easy outs.

The offense exploded for the the Santa Cruz Royals in the third. The Brewers had no answer as the Santa Cruz Royals scored 12 runs. The Santa Cruz Royals scored in the third on an RBI single by Matt Fraser, a two-run single by Chris Highlander, a two-run triple by Chris Rains, an RBI single by Brian Mangan, a two-run single by Drew Sarratore, an RBI single by Matt Fraser, and a two-run single by Chris Highlander. Everyone chipped in as the Royals batted around and sent 16 hitters up in the inning.

Sarratore racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Santa Cruz Royals getting redemption for his strike out in game 1.

The Santa Cruz Royals added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when Del Real singled, plating Mark Brouse. That was followed up by Sarratore's single, scoring Del Real.

The Royals had a great comeback performance from a rough game 1. Strong pitching and hitting in the game allowed them to even the season series with the Brewers and move their record to 3-3. Next up is a single game on Sunday before being off for Fathers Day.
