JCBC proud to host Pete Hyde Girls Holiday Classic
The Johnson City Basketball Club is glad once again to co-host the Pete Hyde Classic girls touranment with Maine Endwell. This year all the games will be hosted at Johnson City. This years tournament will partner with Coaches Vs Cancer. The tournament will be held December 28 & 29, 2009 at the Johnson City K-8 campus.
The Legendary Bob Griffiths was honored this spring as he was inducted into the Johnson CIty Athletic Hall of Fame. Coach "Griff" Griffths has coached in the wildcat program for over 30 years. Coach has coached at every level and is currently our boys freshman coach. Before coaching and teaching Phys Ed. at Johnson City. Coach Griffiths was a three sport athlete for Johnson City. Coach Griffiths will be inducted at a ceremony this fall.
The boys varsity team lost a hearbreaker to Seton CC last night at home. The Saints Chirs Furner hit two free throws with fifteen seconds remaing in regulation to win 58-57.
