April Showers - Bring May Rain-outs! 17 of 23 Days of Rain!! ALL-STAR GAMES - Washed out! Memorial Day Parade - CANCELLED! Games rained out! As you all know the rain, no monsoons, we have had has played havoc with of Schedules. We are sure that everyone is fed up with this wet weather. We all, just want to play some baseball on a dry field on a sunny day! We have re-scheduled the All-Star Games (split it up between 3 weekends, "law of averages" and hoping for the best). The problem with make-ups of games is the availability of fields. Since we share our Town and School Fields with our brother League Oceanside American and our sister League Oceanside FastPitch we are all in the same boat - floating with no ports in sight. So, we are all scrambling for fields and hoping for the rain to go away. There just is not enough days or fields for all of us to make-up all the rained-out games. Play-offs and the Little League Williamsport Tournament starts mid-June and the Tournament Teams will start play on July 1st, 2003. There are a few open dates for some of the teams to play some games, but not enough to re-schedule all the Rained Out lost games. Divison Supervisors are hard at work to try and come up with some game dates. We will keep you posted. Stay Dry and hopefully we will play some baseball-soon! Board of Directors
