Baseball offered by KEARNEY LITTLE LEAGUE.

T-BALL PROGRAM (Formerly the Daytime Program)

AGES 6 & 7

Is designed for athletes with a playing age of 6 or 7.  The league will start on the first Tuesday after Memorial Day and run through to the last Thursday in June.  It will take place on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:30pm to 8:30pm.  Players will be assigned to play on a set diamond at Harmon Park, Collins Park, and West Lincolnway SW.  Jerseys, hats, and team assingments will be handed out at Opening Day.

AGES 8 - 15 PROGRAMS 

MINORS A

Is designed for athletes with a player age of 8.  Players will participate in skills assessments and all children registered will be placed on a team with a manager.  Players will be introduced to all fielding positions except for pitching to batters.  Batters will swing at pitches thrown by their manager or coach during games.

MINORS AA

Is designed for athletes with a player age of 9.  Players will participate in skills assessments and all children registered will be placed on a team with a manager.  Players will pitch to the opposing team batters during games and Little League pitch count rules will apply during the season.  If a batter reaches ball four, then the batter's manager or coach will pitch until the batter puts the ball in play or strikes out.

MINORS AAA

Is designed for athletes with a player age of 10 and 11.  Players will participate in skills assessments and all children registered will be placed on a team with a manager.  All players with a playing age of 10 will be on a Minors AAA team, as well as roughly half of the players with a playing age of 11.  Players will pitch to the opposing team batters during games and Little League pitch count rules will apply during the season.  If a batter reaches ball four, then the batter's manager or coach will pitch until the batter puts the ball in play or strikes out.

MAJORS

Is designed for athletes with a player age of 11 and 12.  Players will participate in skills assessments and all children registered will be placed on a team with a manager.  All players with a playing age of 12 will be on a Majors team, as well as roughly half of the players with a playing age of 11.  Eleven year olds that are not selected to the Majors will play in the Minors AAA division to sharpen their skills for their Majors season when they are twelve.  Players will pitch to the opposing team batters during games and Little League pitch count rules will apply during the season.

JUNIOR/SENIOR

Is designed for athletes with a player age of 13, 14, and 15.  Players will participate in skills assessments and all children registered will be placed on a team with a manager.  Little League pitch count rules will apply during the season.

OTHER OPTIONS

AGE 4 to KINDERGARTEN

Kearney Little League begins at age 6.  If your child is age six on August 31 of the current season, then you can register for KLL.  If your child is not six years old on August 31 of the current season, then Start Smart Baseball is one possible program you could choose that is offered by the Kearney Parks & Recreation Department.  CLICK HERE to go to their program listings for details.
