Jefferson County Little League (JCLL) is an active participant in Little League’s “A Safety Awareness Program” (ASAP).   As part of this program, we as a league are required to conduct First Aid training for all Managers and Coaches. This training will be conducted Saturday, March 16th, 2013 from 9-11am in the Hollywood Ballroom at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Race Track.  Click here for the agenda.

The safety component to this is just one topic at this meeting.  Even if you have first aid experience, you are required to attend this year. This training is MANDATORY and the intent is to train ALL Managers and Coaches - but at a minimum, there must be one participant from every team in attendance.  Please be advised that as a Manager, you have overall responsibility for your team and Coaches.  If you fail to have a representative (yourself or designated Coach, team Mom, etc.) from your team present at this training, you will be suspended for one game to be served on Opening Day.

We do have guest speakers coming in to present and some food and drink will be provided.  Attendance will be taken to track participation so please make sure you are represented.  Also, please note that since this training is being held at the Charles Town Races and Slots, no one under the age of 21 is permitted unless pre-arranged and please do not bring in outside food or beverage – again, we will supply that for you.
