ADDED BOOST FOR NCLL AUXILLARY NCLL is pleased to announce and welcome Jeanette Balentine to the NCLL Booster Club for the 2011 Season. We got to know Jeanette when she stepped up to the plate last year as our Team Parent Coordinator. Things went so smoothly, we asked her to be a part of the Auxillary Committee leadership. After nearly four years of being in this role, we have realized the Booster Team is more effective as a TRIO instead of a DUO! MORE NEWS: Following the 2011 season, Melaney Ryals will be reducing her role, and stepping away from the Board. But she has assured us she will continue to help coordinate Casino Night and volunteer at other events for NCLL. We are always looking for energetic, fun, passionate people (like Melaney) to join us in making NCLL the best youth league in the area. If you are interested in becoming part of the Booster Team, please contact NCLL Booster Coordinator Kristin Moore at 510-468-0819 or zurg-mommy@sbcglobal.net. Remember, this is YOUR league and one of the best ways to make changes is to get involved!NCLL NEEDS YOU! Whether you have a few hours a month or all the time in the world... a little effort can make a big difference. Below are just a few opportunities for you to show your support... we encourage you to step up to the plate and find out how you can be a volunteer. We specifically need volunteers for the following committees: Team Parent Coordinator: coordination of Team Parent packets, giveaways, email notifications, primary point person for Team Parents... perfect for those who prefer “home-based” volunteering Opening/Closing Ceremony: help organize and stage the teams for the parade, coordinate entertainment, setup/teardown. Fundraising: research new opportunities, record keepers, tally monies Event Planner: assist in planning and coordinating NCLL Special Events:Casino Night, LL Days, Hit-a-thon, etc. Merchandise: selection, ordering, and distribution of NCLL spirit wear, ordering and coordination of banners, plaques and trophies, store management and staffing. Sponsorship: we need a person to hang the sponsor’s banners on Saturdays Please keep in mind there are many other ways for you to support NCLL than the few listed above. If you have a special interest or idea… please email one of us to discuss it. No volunteer will be denied!

Many of us work for large companies or corporations who understand the importance and value of non-profit organizations like NCLL. And often times they have a program(s) to help support you and a non-profit of your choice. Programs might include a dollar for dollar contribution match or they might recognize all the countless hours spent volunteering and provide a grant based on the number of hours you volunteer at NCLL. No matter how big or small…every dollar counts!
