Vestal Area Swim Team takes pride in offering a program for all ages and ability levels. Everyone has a special place on the team. Regardless of your ability, age, or commitment level, there is always a place for you on the Vestal Area Swim Team.
Age group swimming builds a strong foundation for a lifetime of good physical and mental health by teaching time management, self-discipline, healthy eating, and fitness habits.
Vestal Area Swim Team focuses on stroke techniques for a faster and safer swim. The coaching staff is very knowledgeable about the latest training techniques and is passionate about the continued success of their athletes. Vestal Area Swim Team emphasizes the ideals of honesty, integrity, fair play and sportsmanship.
The mission of the Vestal Area Swim Team is to promote participation in competitive swimming by providing a safe, enjoyable, and well-orgonized program for age group swimmers.
The vision of the Vestal Area Swim Team is to offer, through a well-organized competitive swim program, the opportunity for all its members to develop their individual capabilities at all levels of competitive swimming.
In addition, members will develop a deep respect for the traditions of teamwork, friendship, life-long learning, and athletic ability to their fullest potential.

Vestal Area Swim Team participates in different types of swim meets.
Short Course Swim Meets (all year long)
- STSL (Southern Tier Swim League) meets : these are local meets open only to STSL club members. It is a great starting point for every swimmer.
- Invitationnals: USA swim meets mainly out of town. They are a great way to get swimmers exposed to great competition and get ready for bigger meets. (Coaches recommendations apply)
- Silver Meet: Cut times qualifications applies.
- Gold Meet: Cut times qualifications applies.
- Zone Meet: Cut times qualifications applies.
- National Meets: Cut times qualifications applies.
