Danville Juniors Win Virgina State Tournament

The Danville Junior all-stars completed a perfect run through the Virginia state tournament, defeating Front Royal by the score of 8-1 in the championship game played in Bristol.  It is the first state title in the history of the juniors program.  The team from Danville won all five tournament games, including two over Front Royal, and one each over Alexandria, Fleet Park, and Dumfries/Tringle/Quantico little leagues.  The juniors will head to Greeneville, SC for the Southeast Reqional Tournament, August 2-6. image

Danville 9-10s Compete in State Tourney

The Danville National 9-10 year old all-stars competed in the Virginia state tournament, July 18-20, hosted by the Tuckahoe LL.  The Danville team had a tough draw for pool play.  In their first game they were outgunned by eventual state runner-up McLean American LL.  Next, they fell to pool champion and eventual semi-finalist SYA East.  However, the Nationals regrouped and defeated Essex County in a comeback win on the final day of pool play.  Congratulations and thank you Nationals for an exciting summer! image
