DE Explosion Coaching /Teaching Points & Philosophies

Start with the Basics - Stress FUN-damentals

At this age, it is important to break everything down to the simplest form to establish a core foundation and understanding of the game.

Practices will be Structured, Detail & Discipline Oriented but  FUN.

We will challenge them in an effort to build their confidence, but also make practices something that they look forward to on a regular basis.

As they learn and peform the basics we will increase their responsibilities and raise their level of expectations.  From the foundation drills we can add higher degree of difficulty, avoiding boredom during practices, challenging their athleticism & ability to make quick decisions.

We will ask that they set goals for themselves and then work with them to achieve those goals. If a player is in need of additional attention Manager will designate one of the other coaches to spend additional teaching time to assist player (1 on 1) in learning the drills & concepts.

The focus of the coaching staff will be to develop all the players as a unit, promoting the team concept.  While athletes have different talents and some learn faster than others, it will be primary theme of the coaching staff that each player brings a value to the team and no one player is above or below the rest.
