News and Announcements

Each year, District 57 is pleased to offer, at no cost to the participants, training for managers, coaches, and parents in how they can teach baseball skills to youth players.

This year, for the 26th consecutive year, Big AL and Scott Price will return to District 57 to provide this instruction.  The date will be a few weeks later than in the past, so that we can provide the opportunity to get more younger coaches involved.  The pair will be coming to conduct coaches training on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Dougherty High School.

Click HERE for a flyer about the clinic.

All managers - coaches - adults involved - parents - etc are encouraged to attend. There is no cost to District 57 participants.  As this is an adult training session, we ask that there be No Children Please.

All CA57 leagues participate in this clinic and there is no cost to any CA57 member.   Big Al has launched his on-line Big Al coaches module - watch out for this. For non CA57 attendees, or for CA57 leagues which would like to purchase additional materials for your leagues, please see this handout.

If you enjoyed the Big AL Coaches Clinic in the past , please provide feedback to your league president. This training would not exist without the support of the 12 leagues in District 57.

2016 will bring much excitement to the 12 LL's in California District 57.   Over 8,000 players will enjoy programs from tee ball thru big league and the Challenger Division.    The success of the programs comes from the dedication of the leagues and the many volunteers that assist in making it fun and successful for all players.     CA57 is very proud of our players and community involvement is essential.

Some Highlights for 2015 -

2014 marks the 26th year of the Challenger Division in CA57.    In 1990 - CA57 started with 4 Challenger teams and this year we hope to have a total of 10 teams throughout the district.       Players and Volunteers are always needed during the regular season - please see your local league to regiser or volunteer for Challenger.

2015 marks the 11h anniversary of the Western Region Challenger Jamboree that CA57 hosts in Dublin.  This event will take place over Memorial Day weekend.   26 teams will be coming in to play and have a fun weekend.     Volunteers and Donations are needed for this event.   More information can be found at the Challenger Jamboree website of www.ChallengerJamboree.ca57.org

2015 will be the 3rd year that CA57 will be the host of the Little League Intermediate Division World Series.     The event was a huge success in its inaugural year of 2013 with over 36,000 visitors enjoying the games at Max Baer Park in Livermore.     Volunteers and Donations are needed to make this event a success and to retain the event in our tri-valley area.    More information can be found at the LL Intermediate World Series website of www.intermediateworldseries.org

Thanks for your generosity and support.   Hope to see you out at the ballparks soon.
