Bucks County Track Club - Lickity-Split Athletics

The Lickity-Split COUGARS are a non-profit, competitive, traveling, youth track and field club with no school affiliation. We represent the QUAD COUNTIES of Berks, Bucks, Lehigh and Montgomery.....and now, Pike & Philadelphia. We are a full-tilt, winter/indoor, club that coaches (and privately and semi-privately develops) youth, many with absolutely no experience, thru, advanced level athletes, ages 6 to 8 and ages 9 through 18.

In addition to sprints and distance, we have a AAA-level jumps program (HJ, LJ, TJ) WITH indoor equipment (unlike many clubs). And, have developed several All-Americans and/or National Championship competitors.

Please join the Lickity-Split COUGARS in a series of comprehensive Run, Jump and Throw practices that begin BEFORE the Christmas holiday starts (Session 1) and the New Year begins.

Indoor track coaching is generally closed to area pre-schoolers andsome elementary school children. Local folks think they are too young, too tiny, and toofrail and poorly-focused to train and compete. Well, we think different! Our indoor program does not shut anyone out!

The Lickity-Split COUGARS welcome all children, especially 6 to 8 year-olds! The former USATF sub-bantam 8-and-Under program has been in existence for at least 10 years nationwide!

Even National Trials, and ALL of our local Chester meets, are open to ALL Lickity-Split COUGAR athletes, regardless of ability.There are no "maximum athletes per event restrictions" like in middle school. And, far more events per meet to choose from, i.e., racewalk, shot put, triple jump, hurdles, than in CYO. Everyone competes in at least two events in almost every meet. And many, may compete, in up to four.

Lickity-Split COUGARS indoor track acts as a.....1) local-Lansdale/Harleysville; 2) less of a school conflict-we mainly practice Sundays; 3) ample-one mandatory, two optional, evenings# per week; and, 4) in-road-beginners welcome.....to the Olympic sport of track and field.

If you child is already an established runner, CYO, MS, HS, we invite you to join us, for a sometimes, intense workout, that involves aspects of safety and technique training often overlooked in middle school, necessary in high school and demanded of in college! 

In December, EVERYONE may compete on the world's newest indoor track on Staten Island! Then, in February, EVERYONE may compete on the world's fastest track in NYC!!
