"League Standings" Clarification for Torrance American Baseball
Below is an excerpt from our Rules Of Operations which explains tie breaking procedures as well. Hope this helps.
This is taken from the Bronco Section but applies to Mustang and Pinto as well. However, all teams make the playoffs for each division.
7.1.11
The six teams with the highest winning percentages at the conclusion of this phase will advance to the playoffs. These six teams will be seeded according to their relative winning percentages (i.e. highest winning percentage is seeded #1, second highest is seeded #2,etc.). In the event of a tie for any position from first to sixth, the following tiebreaker will apply:
1. H ighest winning percentage versus team(s) at the tie point. (head to head)
2. H ighest winning percentage versus team(s) above the tie point.
3. Coin flip.

Wow, the "Skills Competition" was an even bigger event than we expected. 195 TABB kids participated and all 35 teams were represented from all divisions. There was some serious speed and accuracy shown by our players today. When it was all said and done, the Champions were as follows:

As everyone knows, our Opening Day Celebration is a huge event. As with all huge events, comes a huge amount of help needed. Because we all have children playing ball here, we want everyone to help pitch in with the celebration in a small way to spread the workload around. Each team here at TABB will be required to provide 2 parents at a ride or snack station for 1 hr. This can be divided into 15 min., 30min., or 1 hr shifts. That is up to each individual team. Please look below to see your teams assigned event and time slot. Thanks for all you guys do to make this the Premier Baseball League of the South Bay.
