Opening day is around the corner and I want everyone to know the new board has pledged to make the New Hyde Park Little League the best league possible.  We are all taking our responsibility as board members very seriously, and promise to develop a level of communication between the league, parents and children better than ever before.  We had our first board meeting and prepared fliers to all of our existing families, as well as a program to get the word out through our local schools.  We are putting together fall and winter clinic schedules for boys and girls in a variety of age groups.  We also want to develop interest from parents in helping coach our children as they learn the game of baseball and softball.  To that end we are going to be putting together coaches clinics designed to help parents who want to get involved, but are not quite sure what to do.  We will go over the basics of running a team, drills for the kids, and working with the league itself.  Remember this is a volunteer organization, and can only succeed with the participation of our community members.  We also want to thank our past sponsors for their support, without them the cost to parents would be much greater.  Anyone wishing to sponsor the league please contact us at nhpll01@gmail.com.
