These players were nominated by their respective coaches and then voted in by all the other head coaches in the league. Coach of the Year was determined by votes from the coach's peers. Sincerest congratulations to the following head coach and players in our league! Each winner will receive a plaque sponsored by the Cleveland Hockey Booster Club, which will be presented at the playoff game on Saturday, 02/07/09.

The Vikings placed first after our regular season play. They will be the recipient of the Bob Bailey Memorial Cup at their first league playoff game. The Vikings also get automatic birth into the 2009 Buckeye Cup. Congratulations, Vikings!

Ever wonder what some of the former NCHSHL players are doing now that they have graduated?

*Chris Wobser (Fremont '09) – Chris is playing goalie for the Wooster Oilers Jr. A Hockey team. He has been accepted at Heidelberg.

*Jordan Sintic (Riverside '09) - Jordan is playing for Kent State University's ACHA D1 Club Team. He is majoring in accounting.

*Eric Demitrack (Rocky River '09) - Eric is the goalie for Wheaton (IL) College's club hockey team. He is majoring in economics with a minor in math while also writing sports articles for the Wheaton College newspaper.  He is also active in intramural tennis.

*Jim Kavalec (Rocky River '09) - Jim is playing club hockey at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

*Elliott Spaudie (Medina '08) - Elliott is playing for the Concordia University-Wisconsin Varsity Hockey Team. He is majoring in Pharmacy.

*Tim Becka (North Royalton '08) - Tim is playing club hockey at Xavier University and majoring in Business.

*Steve Hruby (North Royalton '08) - Steve is playing for John Carroll University, an ACHA D1 club team. He is majoring in accounting.

* Colten Siedlarczyk (Riverside '08) - Colten is playing for Kent State University's ACHA D1 Club Team and is majoring in business management. 

*Robert Stolz (Riverside '08) - Robert is playing varsity hockey for Wesleyan University (Connecticut) and is majoring in chemistry.

*Matt Furlong (Rocky River '08) - Matt is playing club hockey at the University of Akron. He is studying fire fighting/investigation and EMT.

*Allan Brotzman (Vikings '08) - Allan is attending Lakeland Community College and is in the Illuminating Company Lineman Training course. He will graduate in June.

*Alex Binger (Fremont '07) – Alex is coaching the Fremont Ice Wolves Mite Team as well as officiating. He is attending Bowling Green State University and majoring in finance.

*Kent Charnley (Medina '07) - Kent is playing junior hockey for the Grand Rapids Owls of the CSHL. He was invited to the tryout camp of the Battle Creek Revolution, a professional team in the All-American Hockey Association. He is majoring in finance.

***Update - Kent made Western Michigan's ACHA D1 Team this year (2009). Congrats, Kent!  

*R.J. Peterson (Medina '07) - R.J. is playing at Arizona State University and majoring in Biochemistry.

*Steve Wilson (Riverside '07) - Steve is a sophomore at OSU in the Mechanical Engineering Honors Program and is playing intermodal hockey.

*Kevin Hauser (Medina '05) - Kevin is playing for the University of Toledo and majoring in Recreational Therapy.
