HYBl Alumni Game

HYBL Board of Directors would like to start a NEW tradition, We would like to have  a couple of HYBL Alumni Charity  Softball games prior to the the All-Star Games that are played every year. Two teams will face off each day of the All- Star alumni Weekend.

Rules of the game.  Games will be played at the NEW HYBL Trophy Field!!!

The First Day (Friday) 

1.  HYBL Alumni Players 18-36 will play  starting at 6:00 PM. Team will be made up of 12 (24 Total) players each (first come,first Served), Each player  with pay $25 to play. All Proceeds will go to HYBL. These players will play medium pitch softball on the field, these teams are open to ALL HYBL alumni. if you have played, coached, watched or done anything with HYBL you are invited to play. Games will Be six innings.

2. the game will be normal softball rules, and be umped by  HYBL umpires.

3. Immediately following the game  the Pee-Wee Division will hold it's  annual Pee-Wee All-Star Game under the lights at the New HYBL Trophy field.  

The following day, (Saturday)  At 6:00 PM 

1. HYBL Alumni Players 37 years of Age and older  will play teams will be made up of 15 players each (30 Total), players will each pay $25 to enter the charity softball game, which at this time will be slow pitch softball. These teams are open to ALL HYBL alumni. If you have played, coached, watched or done anything with HYBL you are invited to play. Games will Be six innings.

2. the game will be normal softball Rules and umped by HYBL umpires.

3. Immediately following the  game we will hold the Midget Division All-Star Game under the lights at HYBL's Trophy field.

The Holyoke Youth Baseball League has operated continuously since 1952 without the benefit of any tax dollars. Our program includes about 40 teams with players ranging in ages from 4 to 14. We rely heavily upon direct support from the public.

Our patrons and sponsors list is published in our annual Program Book and can also be inspected by clicking on "Patrons" at the left side of this page.

For tax deduction purposes, the HYBL is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Do you work for a large company? Many companies have matching gift programs. The HYBL is eligible to receive matching gifts under these programs. Examples of companies which have made matching gift donations to the HYBL are Comcast, Verizon, JP Morgan Chase and Mass Mutual. Send us the paperwork and we'll do it.

There's been a delay in handing out Program Books. A PDF of the document is attached to this message. Please print a copy of the rules if you need them. The books will come around soon.
