STHA HOCKEY EQUIPMENT SWAP SALE

  The annual STHA Hockey Swap Sale will be held rain or shine, at The Hockey Shop (1146 Front St., Binghamton, NY 13905) on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 9:00-11:30am.

Anyone who has equipment they would like to try and sell is asked to fill out the swap form in advance and bring it with you (along with the equipment) for drop-off at the Hockey Shop on Friday, September 9th, between 5:00-8:00pm.

Any cash and/or unsold equipment can be picked up at the Hockey Shop from 11:30am-12:00pm on Saturday, September 10th.

    DECISION ON THIRD 12U

TRAVEL TEAM

  After much debate and consideration, the STHA Board of Directors has voted down the possible addition of a third 12U travel team for the 2016-2017 season (3 for, 7 against).

 

We appreciate everyone who came out to the Board Meetings and sent emails over the past couple of months to provide us their input and opinions. All of that input was seriously considered by each of the Board members while making our decision.

 

This was an extremely tough call, because while we know there are more players who desire to travel for games, we unfortunately do not project an adequate number of players at the 12U level this season to field three travel teams and maintain a healthy and viable House division. Our hope is that those players who want more of a “travel” type experience will stay with the STHA and tryout for the 12U House Select team, which would be projected to play a “travel”-type schedule in the Snowbelt league.

 

We understand that some of our membership will be disappointed in this decision, but we feel this is the correct call for the upcoming season.

    PLAYERS NEEDED FOR THE 18U NTB TEAM

 

Attention all 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001 birth year players. The 18U Non-Tournament Bound is in need of additional skaters.
