Resources for the Successfull Coach

Posted by Brian Cassell on Oct 12 2006 at 05:00PM PDT

"A coach is someone who makes you do what you don't want to do, so you can be what you always wanted to be."

Youth sports programs can only exist when a group of people selflessly volunteer their time and effort to teach, encourage and promote the sport.  Youth soccer in Tamaqua is especially difficult as most coaches in our organization have not played much competitive soccer.  This page is dedicated to that group of people who have agreed to give their time to bring the sport of soccer to our children.

Here you will find downloadable files that will hopefully make your coaching experience easier and more enjoyable.
You will need Adobe Acrobat to read these files.  If you do not have Adobe Acrobat, you can download it
here.

Click
here to go to a page containing some great coaching tips on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America site.  These are tips for U-8's and up.

Click
here to go the a page called The Coaching Corner.  This is a multi-sport site that has a pretty comprehensive soccer section.

Click
here to go to a site for youth sports in Decatur, AL.  If you click on the soccer drills link on the left side of the page you will be taken to a page with links to enough information to keep you busy for the next couple of years.
