Fields & Dugouts

Posted by Jocelyn McAndrews at Apr 13, 2015 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Coaches: Please have your teams clean up after each game by throwing away all trash on the field and dugout. Do not leave trash behind for someone else. Home team is responsible for putting out the bases and storing them after each game ON THE SHELVES in the concession stand. Your players can handle all of this, please have them join in!

Mandatory Concussion Training

Posted by Jocelyn McAndrews at Mar 13, 2015 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Did you know that Colorado passed a law known as "Jake Snakenberg Youth Concussion Act" and went into effect Jan. 1, 2012. Basically, the law will require:

  • youth athletes between the ages of 11-18 must be immediately removed from a game or practice if a concussion is suspected
  • athletes will need written medical clearance to return to play
  • athletic trainers can supervise the return-to-play protocol after medical clearance is obtained
  • coaches must receive annual concussion training, including private non-profit volunteer coaches (Little League, Pop Warner, etc)

Here's the link to the law:

I received the following link from one of the local city parks and recreations department. They used this link which according to them meets the requirements as stated in the law. At the end of the video it will produce a certificate to show that you completed the training.
