Warrior Wrestling

The 2013 State Tournament was a new experience for 9 of the 14 wrestlers competing. Only 5 wrestlers on this year's team had experience wrestling on the big stage and it showed. 7 Wariors lost one round before the medal rounds of the tournament. As a team that left us in 7th place. Only two Warriors were able to make it on the medal stand this year. Mitchel Youngblood placed 4th at 160lbs. and Donnie Berg placed 4th at 182 lbs. Whay a strange feeling it was this year not to be sitting in a chair for a finals match. We did have a good showing from some of the younger wrestlers and they progressed well throughout the season. I am hopeful that with a good off season they will return this program to the level it deserves to be. Returners for next season will be 106 lbs. Anthony Washington, 113 lbs. Mason Maddie, 120 lbs. Jonathan Adamski, 126 lbs. Michael Ensminger, 132 lbs. Jesse Zeringue, 145 lbs. Dylan Verret, 152 lbs. Logan Knox, 160 lbs. Mitchell Youngblood, 170 lbs. Christian Frey, 195 lbs. Ian Harter, 220 lbs. Brady Aucoin, others that should be in the mix are Christian Nguyen, Nick Adams, Jonathan Cullivan, Jordan Dudley, Cody Fife, and Anthony Schiro. I look  forward to a great season.
