Millburn Pool Summer Swim Team

Hi everyone, and welcome back to the Millburn Pool Summer Swim Team site!!!

I hope that everyone is fired up and ready to swim fast!!!! Practice has been underway for a couple of days (a full week before the school year ended for the first time in memory)!!!! 

First a disclaimer: You should know that this site is not created by nor is it officially affiliated with Millburn Township, the Millburn Recreation Department, the Millburn Pool or the Millburn Pool Swim team. It was created and is maintained by an enthusiastic swim parent. I aim for 100% accuracy in what I post here, but it is not guaranteed.

If there is ever a discrepancy between what is said here and what you are hearing from the coaches, listen to the coaches!!! It also seems that the coaches have created a web site for the team, so there is the chance that I may retire this site. We shall see. For now I will continue to update this site with schedules and attachments, etc. And will attempt to keep current with results.

With that boring stuff out of the way, I hope that you are as excited as I am about this summer's team. We had a great year last year, and look to continue the success of the team!!

There were some interesting developments in the off season in that we have moved up a division from Division 1 to Division 2. The competition will be tougher this year.

I don't know exactly how the divisions lay out, but when I do I'll update the League Info page.

In a very tight meet, Millburn nipped East Hanover by 4.5 points in meet that went down to the final relays. Congratulations Millburn!!!!

No scores or actual results available yet, but reliable sources tell me that Summit scored a big win at home today. Let's get them next week when they come to our place!

Parents, 

First off, thank you very much for coming out to Summit this morning, and an extra thank you to those involved in marshaling and timing!! Everyone swam very well.

 

We have a couple administrative announcements we'd like to make:

 

1. There is no practice on Monday, July 4th. But, there is practice tomorrow.

2. Please, please try and have clothing orders in by tomorrow morning. 

3. We have two meets next week: Away at East Hanover (Wednesday), and Home against Summit (Thursday). Both are evening meets (Around 6pm, we will have specific details next week)

 

Please send me an email at least a day in advance, saying if:

                   a. Your swimmer can come

                   b. Your swimmer cannot come

                   c. Your swimmer will be arriving late

                   d. Your swimmer will be leaving early

 

Also, feel free to include any stroke preferences that your swimmer has.

 

---These emails are critical to creating a line-up and prevent all of the scratches/cancellations that slow down the meet and keep other children from swimming.
