Welcome Back! It¡¦s time for Fall Soccer 2005! Hope everyone had a wonderful summer. Although we have had a tough start with many obstacles to over come this season, we hope to rapidly improve. I know that all the children are ready to run, play and give it their all! This season should be about the children having fun, making friends, being good sports ~win or lose~ and playing soccer! Let¡¦s all try our best to make sure this happens. Here are a few things to remember about the In-House Soccer League: „« In-House Division games are played on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm at the Highland Middle School Fields. „« The In-House Division is non-competitive. No score is kept. „« It is highly recommended that a team arrive to the field at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the schedule game time for warm-ups off the field. „« Please make sure that your child has a water bottle for all games and practices. „« The BASA newsletter, ¡§Kick¡¦n With BASA¡¨, will be available every week at the concession stand area. The newsletter will tell you about up coming evens and important information. „« BASA has a website: WWW.ETEAMZ.COM/BASA Please look here for important information. No Jewelry, Please!! One of the Referee¡¦s responsibilities before each game is to make sure that NO players are wearing potentially dangerous objects, such as watches, jewelry or adornment of any nature. (This would include, but is not limited to, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, hair beads, hair clips, or any other type of adornment, that a referee would deem as potentially dangerous.) Players that are wearing the above mentioned items will be asked to remove them; taping or covering is not an acceptable practice. Please be aware that the only exception to the above rule would be ¡§Medic Alert Jewelry¡¨, but this jewelry would have to be taped down. Please help the Referees by making sure your child is jewelry free before each game. Thank You. Dear Parents; Just like the game of soccer, there are some ¡§Rules¡¨ that we respectfully ask you and your children to follow. 1. Please notify your child¡¦s coach if he/she can not attend practice or games. 2. Coaches please notify your players if practice times change or is cancelled because of weather. 3. Parking- Please DO NOT park in the grass! There is ample parking in the front of the school. This applies for game days and practice nights. A little walk is good for everyone! 4. NO PETS- There are NO Pets allowed at the soccer fields at any time. Please do not bring your dogs, cats, etc. 5. Port-a-John¡¦s- These are for convenience and not for children to be playing in or around. I would not have believed it myself, but there have been little ones that like to play in there. 6. Water Fountains- Please do not let your children climb on the fountains or play in the water. 7. Goals- DO NOT let your children hang on the goals. Although we stake the goals, they can still tip and they are heavy. This has been the cause of several severe injuries across the country and we do not want it to happen to any ones child. Also, please do not let the children climb on the nets. They are very expensive to replace. 8. The Highland Middle School Soccer Field is a NON-SMOKING facility. 9. Please do not yell at or argue with the referees or coaches. I realize that this page has a lot of DO NOT¡¦S; however we are a small non-profit organization. We must take care of the equipment and the grounds that we have and be thankful for them! Please help us take care of our facilities. Thank You!
