Dear Force Parents,

We are currently trying to secure gyms for our final two week practice schedule for the Hollywood Dodgers Tournament in Las Vegas. Currently we have the next two Monday's at Katella HS and on next Friday at the Buena Park Boys Club. We are still working on a facility for the two Wednesday's and will update the web as soon as we are confirmed. There is a possibility that we may hold an additional practice on Saturday 8/9 but we will wait until later in the week for other scheduling to be finalized.

Our boys have been working hard during practice trying to grasp our "X" half court trap, we would like to utilize this trap in Las Vegas if possible. Our continued practice with "Motion", "White" and "Fist" for man to man defenses is coming along slowly. We still are having difficulties with our lay-ups and free throws. Although we do spend time on them during practice we need to encourage practicing at home so that we don't use our precious gym time for these fundamentals.

Dear Force Parents,

We received our schedule for the Hollywood Dodgers Tournament today. We have been very lucky for the past three years as our Hotel location has been very close to our gym.

This year we have been very fortunate that our South Point Hotel is just down the street from our Green Valley HS gym.  Here is our schedule as of today:

 Saturday 12:00 noon game (Main Gym) vs. Mustang Lightning, Saturday 4:00 p.m. game (Main Gym) vs. Pasadena Tigers.

Sunday 12:00 noon game (Main Gym) vs. FOR Victory.

We need to work hard in preparing for this tournament as the Pasadena Tigers are very athletic and stayed close to the Iikaika Warriors losing by only 7 points.

As you can see we are playing all three games in the Main Gym so we will be a little more tired than normal. This is why we have been working with the boys on building up their endurance.

Our practice this week will only be on Thursday at Buena Park Boys Club from 7:00-9:00 p.m. We will not have any practices for the upcoming weekend. We will start our two week preparation building up to the tournament starting next Monday 8/4/08.

We are looking at the following dates but have not secured gyms yet. Depending on the availability we might have to move either the day or the time.

Monday 8/4, Wed. 8/6, Friday 8/8, Saturday 8/9, Monday 8/11, Wed. 8/13

Dear Force Parents,

This is a reminder that we have practice tomorrow at Costa Mesa HS from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

We will have practice next week on Monday and Thursday at the Buena Park Boys Club from 7:00-9:00 p.m., We did change the time on Monday to 7:00 p.m., it was originally scheduled at 7:30 p.m.

After next week we will try to schedule as many practices as we have gym time in order to get our team ready for the Hollywood Dodgers Tournament, we still need help in our free throw percentage, our half court trap defense and also our new motion offense.

We will still try to work around everyones schedule but will try to have a Monday, Wed, Friday schedule.

When we get the schedule we will let you know, thanks.

Dear Force Parents,

We apologize for the mix-up and the loss of Katella HS on Monday night. We did verify with Costa Mesa HS that we have the gym from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and not 7:30 p.m. this Friday 7/18

Please note the change in time of 30 minutes earlier for this Friday.

Also we will be cancelling practice on Saturday 7/19 at Valencia HS due to our coaches schedules. We will resume practice on Monday 7/21 at the Buena Park Boys Club from 7:30-9:00 p.m.

Let me know if you cannot make either of these practices.

Dear Force Parents,

We will be having a practice on Saturday 7/12/08 at Valencia HS from 1:00-2:30 p.m.

Our practice tomorrow Friday 7/11 at Costa Mesa HS will be starting a little late around 7:45 p.m. as the Coach opening the gym is coming from Irvine HS. Remember that it's the opening day of the OC Fair so there will be some extra traffic.

We should have five for Friday's practice Reed, Jordan, Sunny, Austin, Christian.
