Post 220 (1-0): 3 vs. Hanover: 1; Post 220 starts the 2017 summer season w/ a win against Hanover Post 149 as Justin Sylvia (Middleboro) allowed only one unearned run and 10K’s in 4 1/3 innings. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) led the offense by going 2-for-3 w/ a 2-run HR and Sam Henrie (Old Rochester) collected his first American Legion Baseball hit w/ a triple. Tucker Hrasky (Tabor) also collected his first American Legion Baseball hit and went 1-for-2 w/ a run scored. Marcus Ferdinand (Upper Cape/Rivier) made a relief appearance to get out of a tense bases loaded situation and Henrie finished off the bottom of the seventh w/ 3K’s for the save.

Post 220 (2-0): 2 vs. Kingston: 0; In an early season classic pitcher’s duel, Tom Cummings (Upper Cape) comes up big by tossing a complete game shutout w/ 6K’s. Behind him, the defensive was led by Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) w/ a strong performance at shortstop. Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) went 2-for-3 w/ a double and two RBI’s, while Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Salve Regina) walked twice and scored two runs. Michael Kennefick (Old Rochester), Jarrod Murphy (Wareham), and Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) all added base hits.

Orleans Post 308: 7 vs. Post 220 (2-1): 3; Post 220 drops their first game of the season to an improved and scrappy baseball team from Orleans. John Breault (Old Rochester), Michael Kennefick (Old Rochester), Danny Renwick (Old Rochester), and Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) added base hits, while Tucker Hrasky (Tabor) collected three strikeouts in an inning of work on the mound. Both Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) and Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) hit a triple and scored a run.

Post 220 (3-1): 5 vs. Barnstable: 4; In a well played legion baseball game, Justin Sylvia (Middleboro) allowed only five hits to go along with 5K's for the win. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) came in for relief and added a strikeout for the save. Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) led the offensive charge by going 3-for-3 w/ two doubles and an RBI. Kylar Macoratti (Bourne) had an RBI double, while Cam Bairteau (Wareham) picked up his first American Legion Baseball hit w/ an RBI single.

Post 220 (4-1): 6 vs. East Bridgewater: 4; Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Slave Regina) went 2-for-3 w/ an RBI and Kylar Macoratti (Bourne) went 2-for-4 w/ a run scored to help lead the offense. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) pitched a tough six innings on the hill and Tom Cummings (Upper Cape) added a key RBI double and scored a run. John Breault (Old Rochester) and Sam Henrie (Old Rochester) each collected a base hit.

Post 220 (5-1): 8 vs. Brockton Post 35: 7; In extra innings, Post 220 walks-off on Nick Gagner's (Upper Cape) RBI double to the right center field gap. Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) went 2-for-3 and scored two runs scored, while Danny Renwick (Old Rochester) had a 2-for-4 night w/ a double and a stolen base. Tucker Hrasky (Tabor) pitched five tough innings, collecting 4K's along the way and Adam Breault (Old Rochester) tossed three solid innings in relief w/ out allowing a run.

Pembroke Post 143: 9 vs. Post 220 (5-2): 8; While collecting three strikeouts, Adam Breault (Old Rochester) threw another three innings in relief to keep Post 220 close. In the end, a game ending double play stopped a comeback bid against a pesky Pembroke team. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) was 2-for-3 w/ 2 RBI, Nick Gagner (Upper Cape) also went 2-for-3 w/ a triple, while Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) added his own triple to go along w/ 4 RBI. Cam Bairteau (Wareham), John Breault (Old Rochester), Kylar Macoratti (Bourne), and Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) added base hits.

Post 220 (6-2): 9 vs. Marshfield Post 88: 0; Nick Gagner (Upper Cape) was in a groove on the hill and only allowed one hit in five innings of work. Cam Bairteau (Wareham) went 2-for-3 w/ a triple and 4 RBI, while Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) was 2-for-4 w/ an RBI. Will Hopkins (Old Rochester), Danny Renwick (Old Rochester), and Justin Sylvia (Middleboro) also added base hits of their own. Tucker Hrasky (Tabor) pitched the final two innings and collected a couple of strikeouts along the way.

Post 220 (7-2): 9 vs. Plymouth Post 40: 3; Cam Bairteau (Wareham) led the offensive charge by going 2-for-2 w/ 2 RBI. Also, Mike Kennefick (Old Rochester) and Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) had multiple hits and scored two runs each. Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Salve Regina) had an RBI base hit, while Adam Breault (Old Rochester), Tom Cummings (Upper Cape), and Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) all had base hits.  

Post 220 (9-2): 4 vs. Rockland Post 147: 1; Justin Sylvia (Middleboro) allowed only one earned run and collected 10 K’s in a complete game effort. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) came through w/ a huge base hit that scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning, while Will Hopkins (Old Rochester), Kylar Macoratti (Bourne), and Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) added base hits, w/ Macoratti scoring two runs.

Plymouth Post 40: 5 vs. Post 220 (9-3): 2; Post 220 won in the hit category, but Plymouth ultimately scores more runs in the end. Tom Cummings (Upper Cape) tossed a complete game and allowed only three earned runs on five hits. Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Salve Regina) and Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) went 2-for-4, Sam Henrie (Old Rochester) and Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) went 3-for-4 w/ a run scored, while Nick Gagner (Upper Cape) and Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) each produced a base hit.

Post 220 (10-3): 5 vs. Sandwich Post 188: 4; Post 220 did their part defensively in a well-played legion baseball game as Adam Breault (Old Rochester) allowed only three hits in six innings on the hill. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) came in for relief to eventually get the save in the last inning. Salkind also finished 2-for-3 w/ 2 RBIs at the plate. Swinging a hot bat, Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) went 2-for-2, w/ 2 runs scored, while Tom Cummings (Upper Cape) and Justin Sylvia (Middleboro) added a base hit w/ each scoring a run.

Hanover Post 149: 10 vs. Post 220 (10-4): 8; After holding a 2-run lead after two innings, Post 220 couldn't overcome Hanover's outburst over the next couple of innings. Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Salve Regina) went 1-for-2 w/ 3 runs scored, Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) went 2-for-3 w/ an RBI, Nick Gagner (Upper Cape) went 2-for-3 w/ a triple, while Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton), Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime), Sam Henrie (Old Rochester), and Kylar Macoratti (Bourne) each collected a base hit.

Post 220 (11-4): 11 vs. Kingston Post 387: 5; Justin Sylvia (Middleboro) tossed six strong innings and collected four strikeouts on the mound. Nick Gagner (Upper Cape) relieved him in the last inning without allowing a run. Kylar Macoratti (Bourne) and Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Salve Regina) had three hits and scored two runs each. Adam Breault (Old Rochester) and Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) went 3-for-3. While, Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) and Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) went 3-for-5 and scored three times themselves. Gagner finished 2-for-3 w/ 3 RBIs.

Sandwich Post 188: 5 vs. Post 220 (11-5): 2; After out slugging Sandwich at the plate throughout the contest, the threat of a comeback ultimately ended on a double play with the bases loaded. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) led the offensive charge by going 4-for-4 on the day and Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) belted a solo HR in the first inning. Kylar Macoratti (Bourne) went 3-for-4, while Cooper Thornell (Upper Cape/MA Maritime) and Sam Henrie (Old Rochester) went 2-for-4 on the day. Nick Gagner (Upper Cape) and Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Salve Regina) each added a base hit.

Barnstable Post 206: 5 vs. Post 220 (11-6): 2; Tom Cummings (Upper Cape) allowed only three earned runs in five plus innings of work on the hill, but Post 220 couldn't get the bats going in the end. John Breault (Old Rochester) and Sam Henrie (Old Rochester) had RBI base hits, while Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) and Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) connected on the only other hits on the day.  

Bridgewater Post 203: 5 vs. Post 220 (11-7): 4; Post 220 dropped their third game in a row on a walk-off affair at Bridgewater Post 203. Justin Sylvia (Middleboro) pitched well enough to win after striking out four batters over 7 inninings of work on the hill. Following a Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Salve Regina) RBI double and a Will Hopkins (Old Rochester) hit by pitch, Sam Henrie (Old Rochester) hit a towering 3-run HR that put Post 220 up by a score of 4-1, but Bridgewater rallied to push the game into extra innings and woul go on to eventually win it w/ a bloop hit in the end. Parker finished w/ a 4-for-4 day at the plate, while John Breault (Old Rochester), Michael Kennefick (Old Rochester), Kylar Macoratti (Bourne), and Jarrod Murphy (Wareham) all produced base hits.

Post 220 (12-7): 13 vs. Bridgewater Post 203: 6; Tucker Hrasky (Tabor) helped Post 220 avenge the loss from the previous game, as he tossed 4 shutout innings and collected 6K's along the way. This time, Sam Henrie's (Old Rochester) 2-run HR didn't go to waste and the bats came alive right from the beginning of the game. Bryant Salkind (Old Rochester/Wheaton) went 3-for-3 w/ a triple and Danny Renwick (Old Rochester) added a triple of his own. Kylar Macoratti (Bourne) went 2-for-2 w/ an RBI, Adam Breault (Old Rochester) belted a double, while Nick Gagner (Upper Cape), Will Hopkins (Old Rochester), Hunter Parker (Old Rochester/Salve Regina) each added a base hit.
