 On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, the Marist Varsity Men and Sophomore Boys Track and Field Teams opened up the Outdoor Track and Field season by traveling to Benet Academy in Lisle, Illinois to take on Eastern Suburban Catholic Conference rivals St. Viator, Marian Central Catholic, and Benet Academy.

 In 2017, Benet won the Eastern Suburban Catholic Conference Championships. The Benet Redwings were excellent hosts, and the meet provided non-stop action on the Track. A special thanks to Benet Head Coach Brian Quick and staff for hosting an outstaning Track meet.

 Marist WON the Varsity division with 90 points, and posted victories over: 2. Benet (87 points), 3. St. Viator (46.5 points), and 4. Marian Central Catholic (45.5 points). The RedHawks started the 2018 Outdoor Track and Field season with a record of 3-0. 

 Individual Events were scored 6-4-3-2-1. Relays were scored 6-4-2. 

 In the Varsity Shot Put, Benet Academy's Peterson won it with a throw of 42'2. St. Viator's Althon Huelskamp finished in second place with a throw of 40'3.5. Bennet's Arrowsmith finished in third place with a throw of 38'1. Benet's Kipp finished in fourth place with a throw of 37'6.25. Benet's Stobierski finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a throw of 36'1.5. Marist Freshman Josh Harris threw an outstanding 31'9. Marist Junior Kendric Nowling scratched from the competition.

 After the Varsity Shot Put, Varsity Team Scores (1 event), were Benet 12, St. Viator 4, Marian Central Catholic 0, and Marist 0.

 In the Sophomore Shot Put, Benet Academy's Walsh won it with a throw of 37'3.5. Benet Academy's Phillips finished in second place with a throw of 34'0. Marian Central Catholic's Adian Seaver finished in third place with a throw of 31'5.25. Benet Academy's McGiveny finished in fourth place with a throw of 29'7.5. Marian Central Catholic's Patrick Merryman finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a throw of 28'1.5. Marist Freshman Josiah Harris threw an outstanding 28'1. Marist Freshman Santonien Flowers threw a personal best 22'8.25. Marist Freshman Nathan Tamez threw the shot put an official distance of 21'2.75. Marist Freshman Francis Beeson scratched from the competition.

Benet Academy's Hatch finished in third place with a throw of 123'4. Benet Academy's Aarowsmith finished in fourth place with a throw of 122'2. Benet's Academy's Gordan finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a throw of 119'6. Marist Freshman Josh Harris threw a personal best 75'2. Marist Senior Alton Brooks scratched.  After the Varsity Discus, Varsity Team Scores (2 events), were Benet 24, St. Viator 8, Marian Central Catholic 0, and Marist 0.

 In the Sophomore Discus, Benet Academy's Walsh won it with a throw of 105'11. Benet Academy's McGiveny finished in second place with a throw of 89'9. Benet Academy's Phillips finished in third place with a throw of 78'1.5. Marian Central Catholic's Patrick Merryman finished in fourth place with a throw of 77'0.  In the Varsity High Jump, Marist Senior Steven Rowe won it with a leap of 5'8. Benet Academy's Fitzgerald finished in second place with a jump of 5'6. Marist Senior David Daniels finished in third place with a jump of 5'4. Marian Central Catholic Pivnicka finished in fourth place with a jump of 5'4. Marist Senior Justin Williams finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a jump of 5'0. Marist Senior Martin Smith scratched from the competition.

 In the Sophomore High Jump, Marist Freshman Jamari Grant won it with a personal best jump of 5'2. Marist Sophomore Tavaris West finished in second place with a jump of 5'0. Marist Freshman Tommy Wollenberg and St. Viator's Myles Correa tied for third place with a jump of 4'10. Benet Academy's Schaefer and Marian Central Catholic's Muehlen Kemp tied for fifth place with a jump of 4'10. Marist Freshman Carter Auer scratched from the competition.

 In the Varsity Pole Vault, Benet Academy's Smith won it with a vault of 11'6. St. Viator's Kentara Lim finished in second place with a vault of 9'0. St. Viator's Whelan finished in third place with a vault of 7'6. Benet Academy's Tran finished in fourth place with a vault of 6'6.

 In the Sophomore Pole Vault, Marist Sophomore Peter Derdzinski won it with a vault of 6'0.

 In the Sophomore Long Jump, Benet Academy's Monroe won it with a jump of 17'0.75. Marian Central Catholic's Nathan Bucci finished in second place with a jump of 16'0.75. Marian Central Catholic's Adrian Esquivel finished in third place with a jump of 14'7. St. Viator's Jonathan Ngoy finished in fourth place with a jump of 13'5.75. St. Viator's Joshua Arogundale finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a jump of 13'5.50. Marist Freshman Nicholas Vallie jumped a PERSONAL BEST 12'5.  After the Sophomore Long Jump, Sophomore Team scores (5 events), were Benet 31.5, Marist 18.5, Marian Central Catholic 14.5, St. Viator 5.5.

 In the Varsity Triple Jump, Marist Senior David Daniels won it with a personal best triple jump of 40'5. Marist Senior Justin Williams finished in second place with an outstanding triple jump of 39'7. Benet Academy's Bilog finished in third place with a triple jump of 38'4. Marist Senior Steven Rowe finished in fourth place with a personal best triple jump of 36'6.75. Marist Junior Tom Johnson finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a triple jump of 36'5.

 In the Sophomore Triple Jump, Marian Central Catholic's Ryan Conlon finished in first place with a triple jump of 31'7. St. Viator's Christian Duenez finished in second place with a triple jump of 29'3.5. Marian Central Catholic's Tim Miller finished in third place with a triple jump of 28'2. Marist Freshman Nicholas Vallie finished in fourth place with a triple jump 25'11. Marist Freshman Carter Auer scratched from the competition.

 After the Sophomore Triple Jump, Sophomore Team scores (6 events), were Benet 31.5, Marian Central Catholic 23.5, Marist 20.5, St. Viator 9.5.

 In the Varsity 4x800m Relay, Benet won it with an official time of 8:56.63. Marist (Alexis Arreola, Luke Hortsman, Josh Burns, Anthony Johnson) finished in second place with an official time of 9:55.58. Marian Central Catholic finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 10:09.26.

 After the Varsity 4x800m Relay, Varsity Team Scores (7 events) were Benet 47, Marist 35, St. Viator 15, Marian Central Catholic 10.

 In the Sophomore 4x800m Relay, Marian Central Catholic won it with an outstanding time of 9:30.78.

 After the Sophomore 4x800m Relay, Sophomore Team scores (7 events), were Benet 31.5, Marian Central Catholic 29.5, Marist 20.5, St. Viator 9.5.

 In the Varsity 4x100m Relay, Marist (Alton Brooks, Keyon Turner, Nick Coccaro, Martin Smith) won it with an official time of 46.00. The RedHawks came within 10.84 seconds (36.84, 2012 London Olympics) of the 4x100m Relay World Record!! Marian Central Catholic finished in second place with an official time of 46.4. Benet Academy finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 46.4.

 After the Varsity 4x100m Relay, Varsity Team Scores (8 events) were Benet 49, Marist 41, St. Viator 15, Marian Central Catholic 14.

 In the Sophomore 4x100m Relay, Marist (Tavaris West, Josiah Harris, Cesar Gaona, Antione Davis) won it with an official time of 48.8. Marian Central Catholic finished in second place with an official time of 50.1. Benet Academy finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 50.80.

 In the Varsity 110m Hurdles, Marist Senior Martin Smith won it with a personal best time of 15.70. Benet Academy's Carter finished in second place with an official time of 16.1 Marist Junior Tom Johnson finished in third place with an outstanding time of 18.50. Benet Academy's Bayer finished in fourth place with an official time of 18.9. Marist Senior Jibri Taylor finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 19.10.

St. Viator finished in second place with an official time of 1:38.2. Benet Academy finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 1:43.7. Marian Central Catholic finished in fourth place with an official time of 1:44.3.

 After the Varsity 4x200m relay, Varsity Team scores (13 events) were Benet 69, Marist 66, Marian Central Catholic 31.5, St. Viator 28.5.

 In the Sophomore 4x200m Relay, Marist (Amari Watkins, Jamari Grant, Cesar Gaona, Antione Davis) won it with an outstanding time of 1:42.00. St. Viator finished in second place with an official time of 1:44.8. Marian Central Catholic finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 1:56.8. Benet Academy finished in fourth place with an official time of 2:02.9.

 After the Sophomore 4x200m Relay, Sophomore Team scores (13 events) were Marian Central Catholic 56.5, Marist 53.5, Benet 50.5, St. Viator 15.5.

 In the Varsity 400m dash, Marian Central Catholic's Brogan Pivnicka won it with an official time of 58.3. Benet Academy's Ernest finished in second place with an official time of 58.4. St. Viator's Kennedy Gawin finished in third place with an official time of 58.9. Marian Central Catholic's Robert Sbarounis finished in fourth place with an official time of 59.8. Marist Sophomore Anthony Johnson finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 60.7. Marist Senior David Daniels was scratched from the competition.

 After the Varsity 400m dash, Varsity Team scores (14 events) were Benet 73, Marist 67, Marian Central Catholic 39.5, St. Viator 31.5.

 In the Sophomore 400m dash, Marist Sophomore Tyler Thomas won it with an official time of 63.70. Jish Cali finished in second place with an official time of 80.90. Multiple athletes were disqualified by the IHSA official for lane violations. Marist Freshman Carter Auer was scratched from the competition.

 After the Sophomore 400m dash, Sophomore Team scores (14 events) were Marian Central Catholic 60.5., Marist 59.5, Benet 50.5, St. Viator 15.5.

 In the Varsity 300m Hurdles, Benet Academy's Carter won it with an official time of 44.70. Benet Academy's Bayer finished in second place with an official time of 47.5. Marist Senior Jibri Taylor finished in third place with an official time of 47.6. Marist Junior Tom Johnson finished in fourth place with an official time of 49.8. Marian Central Catholic's Patrick Kelly finished in fiffth place with an official time of 50.3.

 After the Varstiy 300m Hurdles, Varsity Team scores (15 events) were Benet 83, Marist 72, Marian Central Catholic 40.5, St. Viator 31.5.

 In the Sophomore 300m Hurdles, St. Viator's Matthew Gross won it with an official time of 52.9. Marian Central Catholic's Patrick Merryman finished in second place with an official time of 53.7. Marian Central Catholic's Jack Suarez finished in third place with an official time of 56.3. Marist Freshman Jamari Grant finished in fourth place with an official time of 58.7. Marist Freshman Nathan Tamez finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 73.3.

 After the Sophomore 300m Hurdles, Sophomore Team scores (15 events) were Marian Central Catholic 67.5, Marist 62.5, Benet 50.5, St. Viator 21.5.

 In the Varsity 1600m, Marist Sophomore Thomas Leonard won it with a PERSONAL BEST time of 4:36.78. St. Viator Sophomore Patric Natindim finished in second place with an outstanding time of 4:38.50. Marian Central Catholic's Ryan Jones, earlier won the 3200m, and the 800m, and in his third race of the day, finished in third place with an outstanding time of 4:54.19. St. Viator's John Leininger finished in fourth place with an official time of 4:55.81. Marist Sophomore Luke Hortsman finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with a PERSONAL BEST time of 5:19.18. Marist Sophomore Caleb Davis ran an official time of 5:19.84. Marist Senior Ignacio Jasso and Marist Sophomore Josh Burns were scratched from the competition.

 In the Sophomore 1600m, Benet Academy's Sean Donnelly won it with an official time of 5:00.15. Benet Academy's Jack Robinson finished in second place with an official time of 5:00.75. Benet Academy's Jack Tams finished in third place with an official time of 5:05.47. Marist Freshman Kevin Bugos finished in fourth place wtih an outstanding time of 5:20.32.  After the Sophomore 1600m, Sophomore Team scores (16 events) were Marian Central Catholic 67.50, Marist 63.5, Benet 63.5, St. Viator 22.5.

 In the Varsity 200m dash, Marist Sophomore Brian Ferguson won it with an outstanding time of 23.30. Benet Academy's Hatch finished in second place with an official time of 23.90. St. Viator's Jeremy Yoder finished in third place with an official time of 24.0. Marian Central Catholic's  Zach Taylor finished in fourth place with an official time of 24.3. Marist Junior Kendric Nowling finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 24.3. Marist Senior Ben Ehigie ran an outstanding time of 25.7. Marist Freshman Nick Coccaro ran an outstanding time of 25.9.

 After the Varsity 200m dash, Varsity Team scores (17 events) were Benet 87, Marist 86, Marian Central Catholic 45.5, St. Viator 40.5.

 In the Sophomore 200m dash, Marist Sophomore Antione Davis won it with an official time of 24.7. Marist Sophomore Amari Watkins finished in second place with an official time of 25.1. Benet Academy's Carter Bello finished in third place with an official time of 26.0. St. Viator's Lucas Barisas finished in fourth place with an official time of 26.1. Benet Academy's Michael Grossi finished in fifth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 26.3. Marist Sophomore Tyler Thomas and Freshman Josiah Harris ran outstanding times of 27.2. Marist Freshman Cesar Gaona ran an official time of 29.1. Marist Sophomore Kivonte Houston and Freshman Santino Flowers were scratched from the competition.

 After the Sophomore 200m dash, Sophomore Team scores (17 events) were Marist 73.50, Benet 67.50, Marian Central Catholic 67.50, St. Viator 24.50.

 Team scores were tight going into the Final event of the day, the 4x400m Relay.

 In the Varsity 4x400m Relay, St. Viator won it with an official time of 3:44.58. Marist (Luke Hortsman, Alexis Arreola, Caleb Davis, Thomas Leonard) finished in seconod place with an official time of 4:11.61.

 Final Varisty Team scores (18 events): Marist 90, Benet 87, St. Viator 46.5, Marian Central Catholic 45.5.

 In the Sophomore 4x400m Relay, Benet won it with an official time of 4:18.33. St. Viator finished in second place with an official time of 4:22.7. Marian Central Catholic finished in third place with an official time of 4:30.66.

 Final Sophomore Team scores (18 events): Marist 73.50, Benet 73.50, Marian Central Catholic 69.50, and St. Viator 28.50.

 On Saturday, March 17, 2018, the Chicago Marist RedHawks traveled to the University of Illinois Armory for the 40th Annual Gene Armer Invitational.

 Gene Armer served Urbana High School for 28 years, and in 1951, his Cross Country Team won the State Championship. Urbana High School sponsors the meet in the name of Gene Armer, who gave his entire life to the promotion of Track and Field at Urbana High School and the State of Illinois.

 The meet featured a record 67 high schools, and over 900 athletes.

 In 2017, Marist finished in 9th place at the Gene Armer Invitational.

 In 2018, the Marist RedHawks competed with guts and determination in every event, and were in SECOND place, with only ONE event remaining in the competition.

The RedHawks did not score in the final event, and came up a few points short on taking home the TEAM trophy. However, it was an incredible day! The Marist Track and Field Coaching Staff is very proud of every member of the TEAM's performance on saturday, including multiple qualifiers for Illinois Top Times, the "Indoor State Championships". The Indoor State Championships will take place on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Illinois Wesleyan University.

 Points for individual events and relays were from the following point scale: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

 Medals were awarded for the Top 6 places, and Points were awarded for the Top 8 places.

 In the Pole Vault, Marist Sophomore Peter Derdzinski made three outstanding attempts at 8'0, but was unable to clear it.

 In the Long Jump, Marist Senior Justin Williams finished in tenth place with an outstanding jump of 19'8.

 In the Triple Jump, Marist Junior Tom Johnson finished in 11th place with an outstanding Triple Jump of 37'2.

 In the Shot Put, Marist Junior Kendric Nowling finished in 19th place with a throw of 37'9.5.

 In the High Jump, Marist Senior Steven Rowe finished in SIXTH place with an outstanding leap of 6'0. Steven Rowe was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in sixth place overall.

 In the 4x800m Relay, Marist Freshman Jonathan Rivera ran a 2:21.84 800m split on the first leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Alexis Arreola. Marist Junior Alexis Arreola ran a 2:22.50 800m split on the second leg of the relay, and made a good exchange to Luke Hortsman. Marist Sophomore Luke Hortsman ran a 2:35.42 800m split on the third leg of the relay, and made a nice exchange to Joe Donnelly. Marist Junior Joe Donnelly anchored the RedHawks to tenth in their heat with a 2:25.94 800m split for an official time of 9:45.71.

 In the 3200m run, Francis Parker Senior Jack McNabola won it with an official time of 9:35.20. Marist Sophomore Thomas Leonard outkicked Lane Tech Senior KC Pruitt (10:09.79, 3rd place) to finish in SECOND place with a personal best time of 10:08.24. Thomas Leonard was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in second place overall. Deerfield Freshman Josh Puyer finished in fourth place with an official time of 10:22.08. O'Fallon Junior Will Brant finished in fifth place with an official time of 10:22.28. Normal Community High School Sophomore Colin Fitzgerald finished in sixth place with an official time of 10:23.69. Danville Sophomore Michael Moreman finished in seventh place with an official time of 10:28.06. Springfield Sacred-Heart Junior Brendan Fahey finished in eighth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 10:28.73.

 In the 60m High Hurdles, Marist Senior Martin Smith qualified for the Finals with a personal best prelim time of 8.51. Martin Smith WON 60m High Hurdles Finals with an outstanding time of 8.54. Martin Smith was awarded a MEDAL for winning the 60m High Hurdles. Martin Smith also QUALIFIED for Illinois Top Times, the "Indoor State Championships" next saturday!

 In the 60m Dash, Marist Freshman Jovan Marsh qualified for the Finals with an outstanding prelim time of 7.25. Jovan Marsh finished in THIRD place in the 60m Dash Finals with a PERSONAL BEST time of 7.20. Jovan Marsh was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in third place in the 60m dash. Jovan Marsh is currently tied for the final spot in the 60m dash for Illinois Top Times, the "Indoor State Championships", and will find out on Monday evening if he will be joining his teammates in Bloomington, Illinois on Saturday.

 In the 800m run, Marist Junior Lucas Pennix won his heat of the 800m, and finished in 14th place overall with a PERSONAL BEST time of 2:14.57.

 In the 4x200m Relay, Marist Freshman Amari Watkins ran a 25.77 200m split on the first leg of the relay. Marist Sophomore Keyon Turner ran a 25.02 200m split on the second leg of the relay. Marist Junior Tom Johnson ran an impressive 24.89 200m split on the third leg of the relay. Marist Junior Kendric Nowling ran an impressive 24.19 200m split to anchor the Redhawks to second in their heat, and in 16th place overall with a season best time of 1:39.90.

 In the 400m dash, Marist Sophomore Brian Ferguson ran an Indoor 400m PERSONAL BEST time of 52.25 to finish in SECOND place overall, and qualify for Illinois Top Times, the "Indoor State Championships" next saturday! Brian Ferguson was awarded a MEDAL for finishing in second place overall.

 In the 1600m run, Marist Sophomore Thomas Leonard finished in eighth place to complete the scoring with an outstanding time of 4:47.01.

 In the 200m Dash, Marist Freshman Jovan Marsh won his heat, and finished in tenth place overall with an outstanding time of 23.88.

 In the 4x400m Relay, Marist Junior Joe Donnelly ran a 59.56 400m split on the first leg of the relay. Marist Sophomore Keyon Turner ran a 58.44 400m split on the second leg of the relay. Marist Junior Alexis Arreola ran a 58.00 400m split on the third leg of the relay. Marist Freshman Tyler Thomas anchored the RedHawks to 15th place overall with a 61.63 400m split for an official time of 3:58.07.

 Bloom High School won the Gene Armer Invitational with 66 points. Morgan Park came from behind to finish in second place with 39.50 points. Marion also came from behind to finish in third place with 39.00 points.

 The Chicago Marist RedHawks finished in a FOURTH Place tie with Normal Community High School with 36 points, and posted victories over, among others: 6. Urbana (35 points), 7. Freeburg (33 points), 8. Danville (28 points), 9. Madison (22 points), 10. Macon Meridian (21 points), 11. Lane Tech (19 points), 12. Athens (18 points), 13. Calumet City Thornton (17 points), 14.  ALL Marist Track & Field Athletes will be having a TEAM Dinner on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm in the cafeteria.The TEAM dinner will take place the night before the 40th Annual Gene Armer Invitational.

 The Gene Armer Invitational is an ALL STAR Track meet, and features one athlete from each school in each event.

 The Chicago Marist RedHawks having been working hard in preparation for the 40th Annual Gene Armer Invitational, hosted at the University of Illinois Armory on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

 Villa Palermo Catering will provide the TEAM and PARENTS with a very healthy Team Dinner. The dinner will feature Garden Salad, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Pasta with Butter, and bottled water.

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, the Marist Varsity Men traveled to Lyons Township High School for a classic dual meet.

Individual events were scored on the following point scale: 5-3-1.

Relays were scored on the following point scale: 5-0.

In the Varsity High Jump, Lyons McBride won it with a leap of 5'8. Marist Senior Martin Smith finished in SECOND place with a jump of 5'6. Lyons Gregory finished in third place to complete the scoring with a jump of 5'4.

In the Varsity Long Jump, Marist Senior Jibri Taylor WON it with a jump of 16'10. Marist Freshman Nick Coccaro finished in SECOND place with a jump of 16'5. Lyons Schuler finished in third place to complete the scoring with a jump of 16'3.75. 

In the Varsity Triple Jump, Lyons Hollowed won it with a jump of 38'10. Marist Junior Tom Johnson finished in SECOND Place with a jump of 38'0. Marist Senior Jibri Taylor finished in third place to complete the scoring with a jump of 37'1.

In the Varsity Pole Vault, Lyons Kreikmeig won it with a vault of 13'0. Lyons Gatsos finished in second place with a vault of 10'0. Lyons Novinger finished in third place to complete the scoring with a vault of 10'0.

In the Varsity Shot put, Marist Junior Kendric Nowling WON it with a throw of 42'1.5. Lyons DeMarco finished in second place with a throw of 41'8. Lyons Kelly finished in third place to complete the scoring with a throw of 37'4.

After the conclusion of the Field Events, the score was Lyons 25, and Marist 20.

In the Varsity 4x800m Relay, Lyons won it to complete the scoring with an official time of 9:01.8.

In the Varsity 3200m Run, Marist Sophomore Caleb Davis won it with an official time of 12:13.50. Marist Junior Andres Castillo finished in second place with an official time of 12:29.60.

In the Varsity 55m High Hurdles, Marist Senior Martin Smith won it with a personal best time of 7.80. Lyons McClain finished in second place with an official time of 7.90. Lyons McBride finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 9.40. Marist Junior Tom Johnson (9.70), and Marist Senior Jibri Taylor (10.20), finished in fourth and fifth place respectively.

In the Varsity 55m Dash, Marist Sophomore Brian Ferguson won it with an official time of 6.70. Lyons Cirong finished in second place with an official time of 6.80. Marist Freshman Jovan Marsh finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 6.90. Thirty athletes competed in the 55m Dash.

In the Varsity 800m run, Lyons Dilcher won it with an official time of 2:10.40. Marist Junior Lucas Pennix finished in SECOND Place with an official time of 2:16.00. Marist Junior Alex Arreola finished in THIRD place to complete the scoring with an official time of 2:22.2.

In the Varsity 4x160m Relay, Lyons won it to complete the scoring with an official time of 1:20.1.

In the Varsity 400m dash, Marist Freshman Jovan Marsh won it with an official time of 56.90. Lyons VanKovening finished in second place with an official time of 57.20. Marist Keyon Turner finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 59.10.

In the Varsity 55m Low Hurdles, Marist Senior Martin Smith won it with an official time of 7.50. Lyons McClain finished in second place with an official time of 7.6. Lyons McBride finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 8.50. Marist Junior Tom Johnson (8.70), and Marist Senior Jibri Taylor (9.20), finished in fourth and fifth place respectively.

In the Varsity 1600m, Lyons Costello won it with an official time of 4:38.40. Lyons Ehlert finished in second place with an official time of 4:38.90. Lyons Bonfiglio finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 4:39.20.

In the Varsity 200m Dash, Marist Sophomore Brian Ferguson won it with an outstanding time of 24.30. Marist Junior Kendric Nowling finished in second place with a personal best time of 24.40. Lyons Cirone finished in third place to complete the scoring with an official time of 24.60. Thirty athletes competed in the 200m dash.

In the Varsity 4x400m Relay, Lyons won it to complete the scoring with an official time of 4:03.90.

Chicago Marist edged Lyons in the TRACK events by a score of 42-39.

The Final Score of the meet was Lyons 64 and Marist 62.

Lyons Township High School was outstanding hosts, and the schools will meet again in May 2018 at the IHSA Sectional Track and Field Championships.
