Shelton National (D3) defeats Ellington (D8) 7-0 in Game 1 of the State Championship. Game 2 goes to Shelton National 10-0. Congrats to Shelton National, a back to back CT State Champion in LL Baseball! Good luck in Bristol! Click here to follow Shelton National in the New England Regional.
Section 2:
Ellington defeats Glastonbury National 3-2 for the Section 2 Championship. The final standings for Section II were:
Glastonbury National 4-1
Ellington 4-1
Cromwell 4-1
Burlington 1-4
Colchester 1-4
Mansfield 1-4
Based on tie-breaker, no one had a head to head to head sweep, so we use runs allowed/defensive innings. Glastonbury is therefore the #1 seed as they had the least runs allowed per defensive inning. Ellington beat Cromwell earlier in pool play, so they get the #2 seed.

Game 1 of the state final goes to Burlington (D6), a 7-3 winner over Fairfield National (D2) last night. Burlington defeats Fairfield National 11-3 in game 2 to become our 2008 9-10 Baseball State Champions! Congrats to Burlington and to Fairfield National on a great tournament season.
