Ladies....Start your engines!

Outside it was frigid and cold and one of the roughest days for many drivers on the Highways but inside Armstrong High School's gym it was hot and the ladies drove the ball up and down the court.  The Falcons played a solid game posting 4 players in double figures.  Alli Hoefer was perfect on the night shooting 6-6 from the field and 3-3 from the line for 18 points (included 3 from behind the arc).  Nicole Dooher pitched in 16 points and 9 rebounds, Liz Wilson scored 13 and Alyssa Marschner also joined in with 13 points and 4 fantastic assists. 

On the defense side of the ball Kristi Loobeck played solid, taking charges and stealing passes.

The win against a good Woodbury team takes the girls record to 10-2.  The Falcons will begin conference play with a road visit to Minnetonka on Friday followed by a road trip to Coon Rapids on Saturday, gametimes ar 7:15pm and 3:00pm respectively. 

Tonights ball girls featured 4 players from the 6th grade Travel team. thank you girls for attending the game.

Falcons spoil Prior Lake Parent Night

On a night where Prior Lake honored their parents and their coach winning his 300th game the Falcons made sure they were not 301.

Behind the 14 point 4 assist night of Alli Hoefer the Falcons grabbed another win.  The Falcons hit some clutch free-throws down the line the close the door on the Lakers. Kristi Loobeck notched another double double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.  Nicole Dooher pitched in 8 and 12 rebounds and 7 assists.  Alyssa Marschner also added 12.

The win runs the Falcons record to 9-2.  The Falcons next will take on a tough Woodbury squad on Tuesday 1/12. Gametime is set for 7:15pm

Wednesday night was parent night at Armstrong High School as the Falcons took on the Huskies.   The Ladies did not disappoint the crowd putting on a great display of sharing the ball.  

Armstrong's Alyssa Marschner flirted with a triple double but fell just short posting 16 points 9 assists and 5 rebounds.  The Falcons were able to get balanced scoring with Kristi Loobeck pitching in 13, Nicole Dooher 11, Alli Hoefer 14, Nikki Carlson 7, Liz Wilson 6 and Kara Ryan adding 8. 

The Falcons next will head to Prior Lake on Friday, gametime is set for 7:30...

Falcons ready for 2009 start

Falcons will start the 2009 part of the season with a Wednesday meeting at home against Andover and then Friday they will travel to Prior Lake.

Varsity girls close 2008 strong.

Varsity girls wrapped up a good start to the 2008 season competing in the Alexandria Tournament. 

Up to the tournament, behind the strong play of Nicole Dooher, Alyssa Marschner, Kristi Loobeck, Ali Hoefer, Liz Wilson and Kassie Kaluzniak, the girls had some impressive wins over Lakeville North and Hill Murray.  The girls only fallbacks this season has been to Minneapolis South, which the first game of the season and Roosevelt. 

Varsity went strong with some good play from All-tournament player Marschner and Dooher the Falcons soared past Moorhead and took the championship against Alexandria on Tuesday 68-42.

JV was equally impressive winning the JV tournament with Sarah Palmer and Carissa McKelvey being announced to the all-tournament team.
