TEAM INFORMATION:The Artesia Punishers Organization has been very successful on the field. The past few years, our teams have had Back-to-back State Championships, National Championships, Western National and Runner Up Championships. In 2009 every senior player received scholarship offers. In 2009 our 16U team placed 2nd in Western National and has moved up to 18U for the 2009-10 season to form this 18U Gold Artesia Punisher Team which recently qualified for Gold status.
Our common goal is to build the best possible team. We believe if the players have a great playing experience, the rest falls into place. Our coaches and parents are dedicated to developing a positive, safe and caring environment.

Mark added a new "college link" this week. It's to a website called "Hey Izzy" that was created by a kid who when through the college recruiting process and is sharing what she learned with others. Check it out.

This week, Mark added a new site to the "College Links" section of the website. It's a website created by a college player who went through the college recruiting process and is now sharing what she learned with others. There are "to do" lists for students from freshmen to seniors. Jump on and get some advice from someone who has gone through it!!! It's www.heyizzy.com
Thank you for getting back to the coaches last week with your list of colleges. The next step is for you to take your list and start the research. (You can email Coach Mark to get your college list). You are going to need to email the college coaches of the colleges you chose and let them know you are interested in their college and that you will be playing in the SurfCity Showcase October 9, 2009. This is MANDATORY unless you have already signed. It is your responsibility to get this information to the colleges you think you want to go to.
We will expect your list Saturday with checks beside the colleges you emailed. If we don't receive your list on Saturday, expect to be on my laptop sending emails while your teammates will be playing softball on Sunday. This is important to your parents, but mostly it is important for you all to realize that nothing in life is given to you. if you don't work hard, don't expect results.
