Mission

The Mission of Greenfield Youth Football League is to inspire youth, regardless of race, creed or national origin, to teach football fundamentals, principles of sportsmanship and physical fitness in unity with the Greenfield Central High School football program.

Purpose

To elevate the standard of excellence for the entire Greenfield football program by integrating the GCHS system at a younger age.  First, the specific mission of the program is to familiarize all youth with the fundamentals of football. Second is to provide an opportunity to play the sport in a supervised, organized and safety-oriented environment.  Finally, to keep the welfare of participants free of any adult aspiration and personal glory.  Through hard work and commitment from the Board, coaches, players, and families our organization will be respected and one where its teams will be strong contenders in the leagues we participate in every season.

Philosophy

To constantly work on improving our organization to provide a positive and constructive environment to learn the game of football and to give each player an opportunity to receive get pleasure and benefit while being part of one of our teams! To achieve team success by focusing on coaching the fundamentals of football to every player so they can be successful and develop the confidence to move on to the next level.  We believe that children can learn valuable life lessons from the sport of football.  For example, players are expected to maintain their grades in school throughout the football season and follow team rules.  Failure to do so will result in lost playing time or removal from the team.
