Welcome to 2011 BYC Football !!!
Tonight kicks off the start of BYC Football for 2011 and we are looking to have a great season. Please make sure that you show up at the football field by 5:50pm to allow your son to get his name put on his helmet and assemble in the correct location.
FOR TONIGHT'S PRACTICE, ONLY HELMETS, CHIN STRAPS, AND A MOUTH PIECE IS NEEDED. NO OTHER PADS ARE NEEDED UNTIL TUESDAY NIGHT, WHEN ALL EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED.
The 80 lb boys will be practicing down in the field behind the far endzone.
The 100 lb and 120 lb boys will be on the soccer field closest to when you pull into the parking lot.
THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY PARENT MEETING AT 6:05PM IN THE STANDS CLOSEST TO THE SNACK BAR ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD SIDE. EXPLANATION OF THE SEASON, HOW TEAMS ARE SPLIT UP AND WHEN, AND OTHER INFORMATION WILL BE EXPLAINED BY THE FOOTBALL COMMISSIONER DAVID WIESNER. BETH MACKINNON AND CAROLYN WIESNER WILL EXPLAIN TEAM MOM DUTIES, AND MIKE RICCI WILL ALSO BE SPEAKING. THIS MEETING SHOULD ONLY TAKE 15 MINUTES AND THEN YOU CAN RETURN TO YOUR CHILD'S PRACTICE.
If your child still needs equipment, you can come up to the football room at 7:45pm after practice and people will be there to get his equipment or exchange any equipment that currently does not fit.
IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT HAVE A HELMET, HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN TONIGHT'S PRACTICE, NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you have your doctor's note, you can drop that off after practice up in the football room with David Wiesner.

2011 Football and Cheerleading Registration now open
Regular equipment handouts for the 2011 season have been completed. All late registration players will need to pickup equipment at 7:45 this week after camp. No equipment will be given out before or during camp - only after.
PLEASE NOTE...NO PLAYER MAY PARTICIPATE IN PRACTICE WITHOUT EQUIPMENT.
Please make sure that you bring a check made out to BYC for $400 as a deposit for the equipment. The check will be returned to you at the end of the season when you return the equipment. You must register online PRIOR to picking up your child's equipment.
For each child you are receiving equipment for, please have $5 to donate for homecoming costs for the year.
As you all know, the field can be extremely packed during home games. This season, the football board is selling raffle tickets for parking spots right in front of the field field for the season. Each ticket is $10. The parking spot will be yours for all home games, as well as the preseason game, post season games, and the pep- rally.
As a reminder, you will need to provide a doctor's note saying that it is ok for your child to participate in contact football this year. There is no special form for this. A signed letter by your doctor will suffice. You must have this note turned in prior to the 3rd day of camp of your child will not be able to participate in the contact drills.
