On a night when the 4 seniors were honored before the game the Falcons wanted to make sure they got out of the gates quickly. The Falcons did just that as they scored 5 runs in the 1st 3 innings and eventually won the game 7-4.

Dakota Doyle got a rare start for the Falcons and made it worth his while. He pitched a shutout into the 5th inning. After putting runners on 1st and 2nd with one out, Eric Morera came on to relieve Doyle. The first pitch that Morera delivered was deposited over the left field fence to cut the lead to 5-4. Morera was able to get the next 2 outs to end the inning. Jeremy Cook came on to pitch the final 2 innings to earn the save. Cook didn't give up a hit or walk while striking out 2.

Mark Vientos led the way with a 2 hit, 2 RBI, 3 run scoring performance. Arrison Perez also had 2 hits, 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Andy Epstein and Miguel Presno both came up with RBI hits in the 5th inning to make the score 7-4. That completed the scoring on the night.

The Falcons ended the regular season 17-5 and will play Everglades at home in the first round of the playoffs on Tuesday, April 21st at 7pm.

The Falcons clinched 1st place in the District with a 8-3 win over the West Broward Bobcats to stay undefeated, 8-0, in District play.

The Falcons had a great team effort as they fell behind early and were able to overcome a 2-0 deficit and score in 4 of the 6 innings they were on offense. 8 of the starting 9 players got at least 1 hit on the evening.

Hunter Platts led the way with a 3-3, 3 RBI performance and Peter Moforis chipped in with 2 hits and an RBI as well. With the score tied, Arrison Perez came up with the big blow in the 5th inning. With 2 outs and a man on, Perez delivered what turned out to be the game winning RBI with a 2 run homerun to centerfield to put the Falcons up 5-3. The Falcons would end up scoring 3 more runs in the bottom of the 6th to make the score 8-3 and secure the win.

Dylan O'Connell started on the hill and would last 3 innings giving up 2 runs, 1 earned, on 2 strikeouts and 2 BB's. Dakota Doyle came in to take over after a leadoff walk in the top of the 4th inning and was able to shut down the Bobcat offense until the 5th inning. The Bobcats tied the score after a leadoff HBP scored on a 2 out hit. Doyle gave up 1 earned run on 3 strikeouts to pick up the win in relief. Gentry Fortuno entered the game in the top of the 6th with the Falcons leading 5-3.  He struck out 3 of the 7 hitters he faced to earn the save.

The Falcons (15-4, 8-0) will travel to play Archbishop McCarthy in HSBN's Game of the Week on Friday, April 10th at 7pm.

After going 3-1 in the HSBN Spring Break Classic the Falcons are trying to get ready for a playoff run. The Falcons will have to finish up their district games and then play 3 tough games before that happens.

Last night the Falcons improved to 14-4 overall and 7-0 in the district as they took care of the Miramar Patriots 19-0 in a 5 inning contest.

There was plenty of offense to go around as Mark Vientos led the way with a 4 hit performance driving in 2 runs and scoring another 3.  Peter Moforis added 2 doubles that drove in 5 RBI's and Alex Hernandez had 2 hits for 4 RBI's as well. Hunter Platts also had a 2 hit performance while driving in 1 run.

Jeremy Cook started on the hill and went 3 innings giving up 1 hit on 8 strikeouts to pick up his 3rd win of the season. Dakota Doyle came on to pitch the last 2 innings and gave up 1 hit while striking out 4.
