Joel Carranza Assistant Coach - Catching

                           Joel Carranza enters his 1st season with Ray Evans and his staff at Flanagan High School.  Coach Carranza will be working with the catchers on both Varsity and  Junior Varsity.

                      Coach Carranza played varsitybaseball for Flanagan HS during the 2004 and 2007 seasons. In 2007 he put together an impressive senior year, batting .510 with a 25 game htting streak.  He won the teams batting title, was named the 6A Player of the Year and was named to the 2nd team All State Team.

                      Joel was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 23rd round of the 2007 MLB draft. He decided not to sign a professional contract and accepted a scholarship to Broward College where he hit .415 as a freshman.

                      After playing at Broward, Joel decided to try professional baseball. He is in his 6th year of professional baseball and is currently playing for the Sonoma Stompers of the Pacific Association. He is the team's hitting coach as well. In 2016 he won the league's Batting Title and won the Pacific Association's Player of the Year award.

                      Coach Carranza has returned to his old stomping grounds and looks forward to sharing what he has learned over the years with the Falcon catcher's. Hoel is an excellent addition to a very experienced coaching staff.

                      Joel currently resides in Pembroke Pines with his Father.

Scot Drucker Assistant Coach - Pitching

                      Scot Drucker enters his 1st season with Ray Evans and his staff at Flanagan High School. Coach Drucker will be helping Coach Evans manage the Varsity and Junior Varsity pitching staff.

                      Coach drucker was raised in North Miami Beach and played varsity baseball for Miami Country Day from 1997-1999. In 2000 he transferred to Westminster Christian Academy in Miami where his team won the State Championship and finished the season ranked #2 in the nation.

                      Coach Drucker went on to play collegiate baseball at University of Florida from 2000-2002. He transferred to the University of Tennessee in 2004 where he posted a 2.61 ERA and had a team high 32 appearances in his only season with the Volunteers.

                      After the 2004 season with Tennessee, Scot was drafted in the 13th round of the MLB draft by the Oakland Athletics. After 4 seasons with the Athletics, Scot was traded to the Detroit Tigers organization in 2008 where he played for the next 5 years and got as high as AAA. In 2009 he had a personal best 8-3 record with the Tigers. He finished his professional career with an overall record of 32-19 with 21 saves.

                      In addition to playing in the United States Scot also played in Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Taiwan and the Dominican Republic.

                      After his playing days were over Scot became an MLB professional agent in 2012. He was able to finish his degree during his off seasons and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management with minors in Business and Chemistry.

                      Coach Drucker credits his successes to the handful of pitching coaches he has worked with during his time in college and professional baseball, and looks forward to sharing this knowledge with the Falcon pitching staff.

                      He currently resides in Miami with his wife, Jessica.
