January 26, 2006 Happy New Year! I believe the whole team has enjoyed their time off during the end of 2005, dances, school parties, team parties and more. With the arrival of the New Year we are off to a great start in our winter practices. We can’t wait to see all our friends again this Spring. Have some fun during your practices and catch you on the field soon.

Olathe Rockets will go after the ASA Nationals in Johnson City Tennessee for 2006.

Coaches of the Olathe Rockets announced today that this years team will be competing for a berth to the ASA Nationals to be host in Johnson City, Tennessee. It will be a long journey to Johnson City according to the Rockets Coaches, After tryouts there are several very strong teams that will be competeing for the ASA berth. But the rockets won't just settle for the ASA berth this year. They already have plans to play in the AFA and USSSA for a berth to Nationals and World Series. " Every game helps prepare us for our next Nationals", per Coach David Vickers." "We have a very strong team for 2006 that should prove to be in a top 1 or 2 in the Kansas City Metro. But we know that a berth to these Nationals won't just be handed to us, we will have to earn it and we know that we will face some very good competition."
