Chilliwack’s Annual Hockey Day was once again a great way to wrap up the season. Eight teams battled in Four cup games for bragging rights in their prospective divisions.

The Cannor Cup saw Atom C2 and C5 battle in a nail-biting contest with C2 edging out their division rivals C5 by a score of 3-2.

PeeWee’s Morrow Cup showdown had C1 and C4 closing out the season with a game that was closer than the score. This was a one goal game for the better part of 3 periods until C1 found some insurance goals in the 3rd and claimed the title 4-1.

Bantam C6 and C3 met in the Donaldson Cup final and traded goals throughout the whole game with C6 getting the win over C3, 5-4.

The day concluded with the Elite Cup title in Midget. C6 and C1 also played in a one goal game up until an empty net goal with less than a minute in the 3rd to seal the deal for C6, 5-3.

Awards were handed out to players of each team in Atom, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget for MVP, MSP and MIP. Also, our 3rd year midget players received their traditional plaque from CMHA as a memento of many years suiting up to play minor hockey in our community.

Thanks to the players, coaches, parents and volunteers for a great ending to our season!
