Garbage Left on Field:

It has been brought to my attention by the town of New Windsor, that we left the field a mess this weekend. There were plenty of empty container bottles, tape, food and ripped up clothing that were left at the fields. Usually, I go around and pick things up myself, but since I wasn’t there this weekend all the garbage was left on the field. We are all adults here, so there should be no reason why the refs or I go around and pick up after you…It’s the team’s responsibility! There are plenty of garbage cans around and near the fields at all the facilities we play at.

That being said, there will be a $100 fine for any team leaving any garbage on their sidelines which must be paid prior to your next game or you will forfeit that game. It’s up to the team playing after to notify the head ref at the time of coin flip that the previous team left their garbage, if not THEN IT’S CONSIDERED YOUR GARBAGE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PICK IT UP AFTER YOUR GAME. If your game is the last one of the night and you do not help pick up the garbage, then you will be fined $150. I do not want to fine any team, but it’s unfair to me as a commissioner to pick up after everyone, so to avoid fines, please do your part on cleaning up after yourselves it will be greatly appreciated.

Code of Ethics:

Keep in mind POP Warner games are going on at the same time as our games. Also, there are kids in the park playing. Let’s try to refrain from the use of profanity at all times and show good sportsmanship to the youth that are playing and watching.
