Dear WDYF Parents,
An event recognizing our scholar athletes will be held on Monday, November 9 at 6:30 pm in the Dubuque Senior High School Auditorium.
The WDYF Board submitted all report cards to a committee in which 32 of our players have been selected. Your coach will let you know if your child has been selected. All athletes are welcome to attend. There will be a speaker and recognition will be given to our top scholars.
Thank you for all your support throughout the season!
Louie Rosalez
WDYF President
WDYF & Cheer Parents:
I have posted the game schedule to each teams calendar. Each Team will need to provide workers for concessions and Chain gang. Please let your coach know what days you want to work concessions or chains.
The work schedule (attached to the documents section of the main page at www.wdyouthsports.teampages.com) has your team working at opposite times as your game, so that you are able to watch your child play.
Please let me know if your child plans on riding the WDYFC float in the Peosta Kid's Day Parade this Saturday. Please have your child wear their jersey or cheer outfit and bring a bag of candy to throw. Please be there by 9:45
Thanks,
Angie Recker
I hope everyone had a good time at the PEP Rally. It looked as though the dunk tank and the other games were a big hit. Several kid's stayed and danced to the D.J. and enjoyed the bonfire.
Thanks again to all the sponsors and volunteers. Especially for staying longer in your shifts to help out.
The winners of the Raffle were Jolene Stelken with the $100.00 groceries, Rena Sheehy with the I-Pod Nano and Megan Schmitt with the Wii.
Check out the pictures in this link when you have a chance, http://www.teampages.com/album_photos/index?photo_album_id=7598. Or go to www.wdyouthsports.teampages.com and click on Pictures.
We should have the game schedules this week and will get them circulated through your coaches or e-mail.
Please let your coach know if you can make it to the WD High School Football game this Friday, 09/04. Any player or coach that goes to this home game, wearing their game jersey can get in for free. They will announce each team between the JV and Varsity games. If you are able to attend, please have your child line up with their team at the south end-zone gate at the end of the 4th quarter of the JV game.
Thanks again.
The WDYF PEP Rally is fast approaching. I am still looking for 5-6 volunteers to work the games, concessions, ticket sales and grilling. If you are able to volunteer an hour of your time, we would greatly appreciate it.
Please hand in all raffle tickets with sold and unsold tickets to your coach by Wednesday, August 26th.
On behalf of the Board, I’d like to announce that we will give a FREE t-shirt to any WDYF Player that goes to the PEP Rally on Saturday, August 29th.
Parent’s should have received an e-mail from the WD Youth Sports website asking you to register with your team. If you were already registered with this website for baseball, you should just log in and automatically be asked to join the football team. If you have any trouble, please let me know.
Thanks.
