Under Armour Chin Strap recall

Posted by Paul Marshall at Aug 13, 2012 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
If you have a Under Armour Football chin strap, please stop using immediatly.
According to the CPSC, Under Armour has received six reports of injuries that required stitches.
The recall involves all UA Defender Chin Straps, which were available in four color schemes: white and black, red, midnight, navy and royal. All the affective straps have a hard nylon shell, a padded chin area and a plastic strap with “Under Armour” printed on it. They also feature metal clasps that tighten the straps and attach them to the helmet.
The faulty straps were sold at sporting goods stores and Under Armour outlet stores nationwide and at http://www.underarmour.com/ from January 2008 through September 2011 for about $20

Consumers are warned to immediately stop using the recalled chin straps and contact Under Armour for a free replacement chin strap.

For additional information, consumers can call Under Armour toll-free (888-823-0343) or visit the firm’s website at www.underarmour.com.

THE EVALUATION PROCESS
The Warhawks will have approximately 500 kids from 5-14 years old.
Your child will be evaluated in the age group that you as parents decide to place them. As a program we believe that you should play your child in the lowest possible age group based on your childs age and weight as of August 1. This includes Older but Lighters, However spots are limited to 6 OBL per team. Some kids may have to move to their actual age group if too many kids qualify for the spots available.

Every player is competing to make the highest possible division within their age/weight classification. That is what it is to be a Warhawk. "Encourage young athletes to strive athletically and mentally to their highest level." Once it is determined where your child should tryout that is where they will tryout. We then hand them over to the evaluators.

The evaluators will be determining which players are best suited to play for which level in which the warhawks participate. As the week progresses the players will be grouped and regrouped to compete against their peers. Scores will be kept in 7 different skills sets. This helps us ensure that kids do not go unnoticed, everyone will receive scores. Through the collaboration of scores and evaluators input, players will be placed. The teams will be formed first with the National then the Centennial and Federal. The Age group Coordinator or Head coach will email the player when the designated team is complete.

Commitment * Fundamentals * Hard Work * Integrity

Encourage young athletes to strive athletically and mentally to their highest level on and
off the field. Develop the character and spirit of each athlete through commitment,
fundamentals, hard work and integrity. Creating a fun family environment within our teams our organization and our community.
