Here is some helpful info as we get the season started:
At practice, players should dress in comfortable athletic attire according to the weather.
A team hat and jersey will be provided to wear at our games.
Cleats and baseball pants are recommended, but not required.
Batting helmets are required. If you do not have one, the league will supply your coach with one for you to use.
If you do not have a bat the league will supply your coach with one for you to use.
A glove is required. The league does not supply gloves for players. (Yes an inexpensive glove will do!)
Players should have access to a drink during practice and games
For safety reasons please do not allow children to eat during practice or games.
Dos and Don'ts
(Please and thank you for your cooperation!)
Do stay at the field with your player.
You are responsible for:
To make sure your player safely remains in the field area
Any porta potty breaks
And any other concerns that may pop up!
Do become a parent helper
We will never turn down an extra set of hands.
Yes, you can help even if you do not have baseball experience.
Due to PA Act 153, all parent helpers / volunteers must submit clearances.
Some examples of parent help are:
Practice Support: We practice as a Tee Ball community.
This fun, unique experience allows for several adults to assist between different stations.
This also allows parents without baseball experience to learn coaching basics from our experienced coaches.
Bench Parent: Maintain the kids in the proper batting order. Makes sure the on deck batter has a helmet and is ready to bat. This keeps the game organized and flowing to keep our players from becoming bored.
All teams should have at least 2 bench parents. Having parent support at the bench allows for the coaches to be on the field teaching fundamentals!
Warm Up Drills: Parents who have submitted the proper clearances are encouraged to roll grounders to players before games. This allows our players to remain focused on the upcoming game. It also allows Managers and coaches to greet players, answer parent questions, and organize the start of the game.
