Schedule Changes

Posted by Jim Shaw at 08:17PM PDT (0 Comments)

Due to the MB Centennial parade and picnic it was necessary to make some revisions to the schedule. Other than early morning games at Premier and MBMS, there will not be any access to Begg, Premier, or MBMS for the entire day on Saturday.

T-Ball will be using Grandview North & South and Cal will be using both corners of AMS this weekend in addition to our usual fields and the softball fields. We are compressing the warm-up/game times at AMS to 1:45 blocks so that all games can be played.

Please check with your coach to see if your game was changed.

MBLL in India

Posted by Jim Shaw at 10:06AM PDT (2 Comments)

See the great pictures below of children in India wearing MBLL uniforms. Here’s the story…

Sara Macdonald is a former player in MBLL and daughter of the 50th MBLL president. She is currently studying Chinese and International Relations at Westminister University in London and hopes to join the Peace Corps.

For the past two years, Sara has volunteered at Abarasi Social Action an orphanage in Tamilnadu India. Here is a link to their website. The picture on their website gives you an idea of the remoteness of this area in India.

http://anbarasi.orphanage.org/

Clothing the children is a challenge and Sara spends a lot of time sewing and mending their clothes. It is also a challenge because Indian religious and social customer require only modest clothing. She asked for donations and received the unneeded uniforms from Don Burrows with MBLL. The kids went crazy over the uniforms and hats. The kids also received a whiffle ball set and they formed teams and invented new games.

Where else would you see Dodgers and Giants hugging each other?
