The victories came from Daniela Roman of Somerset at girls singles, Courtney Langfield and Ali Vautrin of Somerset in girls doubles, both in straight sets, and the mixed doubles team of Kristin Bertsch of Middletown, RI and Jackson Reilly of Swansea and LaSalle Academy, who clinched the match in a super-tie breaker with scores of 2-6, 6-5 (5-3), 10-6.
The Fall River 18s also include John Charest, Ben Holt, Chris Ross and Kyle Camara from Somerset, along with Rachel Le of Berkley. Projected No. 1 player Matt Dunne of Somerset and Tabor Academy is expected to make his season debut.
The Fall River CTA's 14&Under Advanced Team is coached by Salem State standout and former Durfee all-star Megan Cote. They are 1-1 on the season, with a victory over the Conanicut Yacht Club of Jamestown, RI and loss to South County CTA. Fall River's 14 team has included Sonia Rodrigues, Dayna Jackson and Conrad Calcagno of Swansea, Bojanna Roman of Somerset, Nick Rosa of Westport, Lauren Bertsch of Middletown plus Corey Toupin, Andrew Dunne and Carolyn Dunne of Fall River.
The Fall River CTA is also fielding teams in the USTA SEMass. Intermediate League in the 14 and 18 & Under divisions. For additional information go to www.frcta.com.
