Our first baseball fundamentals clinics will be on Saturday, Jan 4 at Shoreline Athletic Fields and consist of two sessions. 10 to 11 AM is for 4 to 8 year-olds. The 11:30 AM to 1 PM session is for 9 to 12 year-olds. Players signed up for MVLL spring baseball and prospective players are invited. There is no cost.
In order for the players to receive maximum benefit from the clinic, we ask that your player arrive 5 minutes early to their session and be ready to have fun, equipped with the following:Baseball glove that can be closed easily by the player Baseball pants or sweat pants (no jeans or shorts, please) Baseball hat Protective cup Baseball cleats or athletic shoes (no sandals or open-toed shoes, please)
If your player has their own bat and/or helmet, they are welcome to bring it with them and use during the drills but it is not required. MVLL will provide sufficient helmets and bats for all attendees. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ANY EQUIPMENT/GEAR/CLOTHING BROUGHT BY YOUR PLAYER IS LABELED CLEARLY WITH THEIR NAME.
Parents, Managers/Coaches should plan to attend the 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm session.. This last session of the day will be for prospective and current managers, coaches and parents. We ask that players not attend this session so that attendees can give their full attention to the session. There is an adjacent playground that is lots of fun and way more interesting than listening to us talk. During this time, we will discuss coaching philosophy, practice theory, in-game strategy, etc.
