Beaver County United Coed Softball League

This Sunday, May 6th is opening day (hoping this rain stays away)!! If we do have to cancel I will text the managers and post on Facebook. We plan to check the fields Saturday evening to see what we are dealing with.

Please make sure all waivers are turned in by the end of play to the drop box at the side of the concession stand on field 2. Waivers not turned in will result in a $50 fine and all games played will be forfeited. There are 2 waivers that need to be signed by each player. All players must be 18 years old to play. There is a blank form in the document section under Waivers.

We will be doing bat testing this Sunday, May 6th at the pavilion on Field 2 from 12:30pm-1:30pm ONLY. Please bring any bats that need tested during that time. This will be the only testing done in May. Bats must have a 2018 sticker to be legal for play. If a player is caught using an illegal bat, the team will forfeit the game, incur a $50 fine, and the player will be suspended for the remainder of the season.

Also, Rt 51 by Zooky’s is now open. The road to the fields from the park is still closed though. You will have to go the back way by Woodward’s Apple Orchard. There is a sign on that road stating it’s closed, but the closure is after the field entrance. You can still use the road.

I just spoke with Tim Ishman and the County/Public Works has decided that the fields are not playable. Due to the weather we’ve had over the past few weeks and the rain we’re supposed to get Friday and Saturday they will not be in playable conditions. Our Opening Day has been moved to May 6th. Please see the attached REV.02 schedule.

We’ll be doing bat testing on Sunday, May 6th at the pavilion on Field 2 from 12:30pm-1:30pm ONLY. Please bring any bats that need tested during that time. This will be the only testing done in May. We will email in June to see if anyone needs testing done for the month of June.

2018 Spring/Summer 18 Team Schedule REV.01

Just a reminder this Monday, April 16th at 7:30pm is our league meeting. The meeting will be held at The Pizza Guy 7099 Big Beaver Blvd. Beaver Falls, PA 15010. We will be drawing the schedule at this meeting.

Please make sure to bring any bats that need tested. This will be the last time testing will be done before the start of the season. We now have the updated non-linear bat list that was released in March. Also I’ve check the male bat website and no new bats have been added as of yet.
