Buckeye Youth Football Families,
Please see the below two great Buckeye Youth Football camp opportunities! Forms can be found in the Documents section of this website.

Firstly, the Buckeye High School Football program is hosting their annual Youth Football camp May 30 and 31, 9-11:30am. Campers will be coached by current High School Coaches and Players with focus on fundamentals development. Registration cost of $50 includes a Buckeye Football t-shirt for each camper. Please direct all questions, registration forms and payment to Coach Greg Dennison gdennison@buckeyeschools.org.

New for this season is a FREE Girls Flag Football camp! To promote the new Lake Erie Youth Football League (LEYFL) Girls Flag division, Buckeye Youth Football is extremely excited to host our Girls! Date, time and location are the same as the above HS Boys Youth camp though the Girls will have their own field for individually paced instruction. Registration for the FREE camp can be submitted online per the link in the attached form or turned in along with any Boys camp forms.

Lastly, find BYFA at Buckeye Day May 8th at the Elementary School where forms for both camps can be submitted specially.

Offseason planning is underway with our 2024 Board elections held at the January meeting.

2024 BYFA Board:

The next BYFA board meetings will be at the following dates, 7pm at the Liverpool Community Center (6801 School St, Valley City, OH); February 18th, March 10th, April 21st, May 19th and June 23rd. Please plan to join as we prepare for another great season.

2024 registration for K to 6th grade football and cheer will be open May 1st to June 29th. Please watch our Facebook page or www.buckeyeyouthfootball.com for details and exact in person registration dates. Look for us at the Elementary School Buckeye Day May 8th!

Early acclimation practices for grades 3-6 and Flag camps for grades K-2 start the week of July 22. Regular practices for all start July 29. Regular season games held Saturdays Aug 24 to Oct 5. Playoffs Oct 12-19-26.

BYFA and the Lake Erie Youth Football are also considering expanding with GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL divisions for grades 1-6! Please reach out per the information below to express interest or with questions.

Buckeye Youth Football and Cheer Families,

BYFA will once again hold pot luck banquets at the Buckeye Elementary School cafeteria for all of our families to celebrate the season together. There will be 2 banquet dates splitting our large group up by grades. Please see the below details including food requests per team. Dishes do not have to be extra large! BYFA will provide water and pizza. Families feel free to bring your other drinks.

Grades 3rd-6th: Padded Flag, Rookie Tackle and Varsity Football teams along with Padded Flag, Rookie Tackle and Varsity Cheer will be on Thursday, November 9th from 6-8pm. Varsity Football and Varsity Cheer please bring a main dish per family to share, Padded Flag and Padded Flag Cheer a side dish, and Rookie Tackle and Rookie Tackle Cheer teams a dessert.

Grades K, 1st and 2nd flag football and cheer will be on Wednesday, November 15th from 6-8pm. Orange Flag, Brown Flag and Gibson Cheer please bring a main dish per family to share. White Flag, Black Flag and Ball Cheer a side dish. 5/6 year old flag Jaguars and Lions as well as Morse Cheer a dessert.

Buckeye Youth Football Families,
Congratulations to all of our teams on yet another great season.

Equipment return dates for Padded Flag, Rookie Tackle and Varsity football players will be Wednesday, November 1st 6-8pm and Saturday, November 4th 9-11am at the Liverpool Community Center (6801 School St, Valley City, 44280). Players need not be present. Items required to return: helmet, shoulder pads, game pants, practice pants, knee pads, practice jersey and belt. Keep your jerseys!

There is no equipment return for grades K-2 flag football.

The Lake Erie Youth Football League schedule for the first round of playoffs and Bowl Games Oct-14 is now live on the league website. All Buckeye Youth Football teams will be participating! Good luck and finish the season strong!
