Despite some early season weather that has prohibited the cross country team from some of their outdoor training, the team has been preparing for the season ahead by incorporating a variety of workouts. This year’s squad, featuring 31 Middle School athletes, has been going through a series of circuit training workouts, and running stairs. On days when the weather has cooperated, the Vikings take to the field and log their miles. First year Head Coach, Matt Mouro, is excited about this year’s team. “They have shown a great attitude thus far and have been working hard early on. We still have a ways to go as a team, but I like the direction we are headed.” The Vikings first meet in on Saturday, September 10th, as they compete in the Lutheran South Invitational. Good luck to all of our Viking runners this year.

Go Vikings!
